Is there a new message system, or is it me?

Diane sent me an e-mail today, and in the white box in the top-left hand corner, it said '1 message' to let me know. What a great new addition to the site. However, the e-mail did not go into my usual inbox on Outlook. Is there a new message system between members, or am I going mad? |

If there is a new message system where it shows that you have a new message on this site, that would be great. However, if the messages no longer go to normal e-mail in boxes as well, not so good. Some people do not log on to this site every day, or even every week. A combination of the two would be ideal. Janet |

The emails should definately be going to your personal emails accounts and on the site. If you don't mind, what is your email provider? (hotmail, yahoo, bt etc) This will help identify if there is a problem. We keep the emails going out to your account because we realize people may not be on the site all of the time and want to make sure they get the message as soon as it's sent. Thanks, Michelle |

I have received a test e-mail from Michelle and it arrived in both my Messages centre on this site and in my personal Outlook Express Inbox. Therefore the message centre, a great new addition to the site. Thanks Michelle and team. Janet |

Hello Michelle My e-mail is with tiscali, which I think is BT. Sorry my husband deals with that side of things. I have checked my account, and the e-mail from Diana is definately not there. Perhaps someone could e-mail me again, and I could double-check. |

Hello Michelle & Suzy, Firstly, very well done, Michelle and team. Have just come online, and am very impressed by the newstyle message centre. Keep up the good work! Suzy, I'm also with Tiscali, and any message to my box in GC/R is also sent to my Outlook Express inbox. Hope you get your problem sorted out OK. Philip |

Thanks Philip for your e-mail. I have replied direct. Michelle, I think my husband may have been heavy-handed with the anti-spam button, so the problem seems to be this end. Thank you for your concern anyway. PS The changes are great. 'Thank you' everyone on the team. |

I have already had an e mail sent through, when you receive it the message is different, and I am not sure the link is there to open GR like it used to be. Ann Glos |

Kate on your contact page there's now three pages to look at. Inbox, sent messages and your contacts. Have you tried clicking on the in box part of your contact page. (looks bit like the top of the page here ) Shelli |
