Hi has anyone any Knowledge of the above only the possibility has cropped up that my Elusive G/Grandfather may have left his family and gone off on one!! Did they dock in England & where did they go? it was after 1901 because he was on that census. Lynn |

Hi Linda, I`m not sure about this, but I`m sure a `tramp steamer`is nothing more than a vessel that touts for a cargo,from any port it may go to,without having a set contract. These ships travelled all over the world looking for trade. I`m sure someone will tell me different, if Im wrong. |
