My life is really dire at the moment and I have a host of problems at home. I visit the general topics board to leave them all behind me. I enjoy the escapism on board the virtual cruise and hoot with laughter at all the jokes. As the saying goes 'Laughter is the best medicine' and I've got to say it's helping me to cope. Please keep them coming as I for one enjoy them. Viv |

Thanks Lorr and Bryan. I keep my problems to myself but need to escape every now and then. Laughing does make me feel a little better. Bryan, as the Alcoholic Landlady I can always get virtually legless! And before anyone complains my paternal grandfather was an alcoholic and another one was a publican!!! Viv |

Here here!! Elaine and Lynda - please keep the jokes coming!! I'm amazed at the 'playground mentality' that is creeping into these threads :( They say the best form of defense is attack - in these cases I think the best thing to do is just ignore - do not take their bait - do not respond in the slightest. Just rise above and treat with the contempt it deserves - they will soon get bored and go away if no-one gives them the satisfaction of 'playing into their hands' and giving them 'centre stage'........... My goodness, can you imagine what they'd be like if someone queue jumped them in the supermarket??? LOL........ |

Hello Viv, Sorry to hear that that you are going through a rough patch. Hope everything sorts itself out very soon. By the way - love your character on the SSU - glad you get some well deserved light relief from it and all who sail in her lol Magsxx |

Sorry to hear things aren't so good for you at the moment, but despite all the bickering on this site, there are still some of us who care for others as you can already see by the replies. I hope things start to look up for you soon. June, I like your quote! Mandy :) |

Hi Viv, I too am enjoying our virtual voyage and am glad that you are having a laugh. There are so many problems that we all have to face on a day to day basis even if we keep those problems to ourselves. Laughter is definately the best medicine. Lindy;-)) |
