how charming of him- its ok, my tum aint esactly toned!!! My mum has hers done aswell and she reckons her tum is more like a kangaroos pouch! lol!! I had to stand there while he cleaned it, then he put a dot on where it was going to be pierced, then froze it then he clamped it (that didnt hurt at all) then i lied down and he quickly stuck it through- i didnt watch it i couldnt bare to, im so pathetic with pain- im the worst but im telling you the truth, it didnt hurt me!!xx |

hi there, they are addictive arent they? if i was you i'd go with your first instinct! if you really want another one, then get it done. I was dubious about having one cos of the pain! i was scared but i went through with it and had a chinese symbol that one didn't hurt, and it was in black, HOWEVER, i had another, a heart, in COLOUR and that did??? funny thing that. I'm not put off tho as im wanting another done with the kids names on, BUT instead, im booked in to have my belly button pierced as i've always wanted it done, (ouch!) on my birthday and im scared cos ive never had a piercing done, ive got 14 days left and i dont know what to do :-( |

hi steph, i have a small tatoo on my lower back. (little red heart then chinese symbol for A for Adam my litle lad, then chinese symbol for R for Richard my husband then a little red heart, going across not down. We lost a baby last year so I am going to add to this by having a flower stem with a rose bud on the top going through the middle of the chinese symbols. |

Steph, I'd love to get one. Not sure where to go though. I don't know of any decent tattooists round here. I would like 3 stars - for my 2 children and my hubbie. Also my name means star. I think I'd have it on my lower back. Estelle :-) |

Had my tattoo done at the ripe old age of 55. The tattooist said "Are you sure you want it on your forarm, most ladies have it on the back of their shoulders". Listen I says If I'm paying all that money and going through all that pain I want it where I can see it. So thats how I have a Humming bird on my forearm. I do get some funny looks but I like it and it's part of me now. Julia |

I've got one on my tummy, just near my hip - it's a dolphin leaping out of the water! Thought I was being clever having it done on a 'fleshy' bit, till the guy at the tattoo shop told me that's where it hurts most :( He was right, of course - and it took 45 minutes - stretched out half sitting/half lying on a 'computer' chair!! Couldn't move to get off it at the end as my back had locked up. That was over a year ago for my 40th - still keep it hidden from Mum lol........she went nuts when I had my nose and navel pierced 6 years ago!! |

I'm a whimp too!! I'm thinking of having a daisy chain tattoo around my ankle for my 40th b/day next summer - but afraid that when I'm old that it will look hideous on those blown up ankles I just know I will have LOL!! I dislike the piercing and the IN thing of late staples and lumps under the skin - ewwwwwwwwww my lunch just surfaced!!! Much happiness Debi |

I personally don't like them but each to their own opinion but please don't have another without serious thought. You like the one's you've got and that's great but I was in hospital once with a young girl having skingrafts where she had been having a tattoo removed from her forearm. The donor site on her leg was weeping and really sore and she really wished she could have turned the clock back. Don't be like her. |
