Gwen, many thanks for your message. I have looked up the site and noted a few things. Bob, also thanks. Yes, your Dutch is quite good, minor mistake, but we're not looking for those now. Why are you a white truck driver? Sally, also thanks. I have seen this poem before. I think it was in the YOURS magazine. I have a subscription on this mag. Will look up the site. Thanks everybody, Sylvia |

Hi Sylvia, the wonderful poem, Death is Nothing at All by Henry Scott Holland, was a big comfort to me. You can find it, and other poems, on www.tequilatrinity.btinternet.co.uk/poetry/deathisnothing.htm There is also a beautiful Native North American prayer... 'Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glint on snow, I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle Autumn's rain. When you waken in thhe morning's hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of Quiet birds in circled flight, i am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, i did not die.' I've found this one stays with me, and gives me lots of comfort on the bad days! |

Does anyone know where I can find ready written texts offering condolence to someone? I've tried Google but cannot find any there. I would have to translate into Dutch, but that doesn't matter. It's not for me, it's for my neighbour here, and she doesn't have a computer. Sylvia |
