Has anyone had trouble with the Ellis Island web-site? When I found the person I was looking for I discovered she had arrived in New York on 7th August 1909 on the ship Campania from Liverpool. Looking at the original papers for this ship a ship called the Madonna was shown which had sailed from Italy . . . . obviously there was no sign of the person I was interested in. There is an e-mail address to contact the Ellis Island web-site, but they just don't reply. |

Brian, Sorry for the negative reply but I,ve also had the same problem with Ellis Island. If the person you are looking for sailed with other family members, try using thier name in your search. |

Carol . . . . thankyou for your reply but unfortunatley she travelled alone to meet her future (English) husband in America. |
