Is the weather affecting our health????

I think a lot of it is caused by our "clean" Society. The last one or two generations have never had to build up the immunities neccessary. All kids need some dirt in their lives, and now they have a hard time finding it indoors. At least, the sort of dirt which would trigger an immune response. Trouble is that we have polluted the Outdoors so any immunity we may have built up as children is of no use because the environment has changed. However, I too feel a constant lack of energy. I go to bed before 1.00 and don't wake up until 10 or 11. I am not a victim of S.A.D., thank God, so I suspect a lot of it is caused by my daily bodily intake of one or more of 4 things: The air that I breathe The food that I eat The water that I drink Disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field and I suppose I must add a 5th, the strength of the Sun. Only my thoughts folks, please feel free to disagree. Jim |

Hi Folks - well I think I can wholeheartedly agree with all your comments - I'm definitely more lively when the sun is shining and get loads more done than when its dull and miserable! Bit concerned now that my 'symptoms' could be a little bit of stress creeping in due to exhaustion - haven't had a decent nights sleep since I don't know when - all the hot weather & storms etc have ruined my sleep pattern, (oh yeah and have suffered with stress before 4 years ago so know the signs). Came home with my fella this eve ranting and raving about everything; took it out on some local kids who were scaring one of my cats; came in promptly burst into tears :( And here's me supposed to making it a special weekend for his birthday lol ............. now where's that bottle of Nytol ;P |

hy anne, sorry to hear that your feeling a bit low,at the moment, hopefully it will pass soon. its been known for many years, that we are affected emotionally,by the change of season...whats happening over the past few years,is that the seasons, are overlapping, thus causing the bodies bio-rthyms to get confused......but,i think the main cause of todays health problems is pollution.and theirs no turning back...it will get worse, not better. bryan. |

I agree Anne. I think that I must be a "sunny day person" I feel so much better when the sun is shining. Maggy |

So many people seem to be poorly just lately! I'm convinced it is to do with our weather lately - damp hot summers; damp mild winters!! My mum has just been diagnosed with a 'virus' (nature unknown) and high blood pressure (first time in her 71 yrs). My aunt recently collapsed the day before her husbands funeral and spent a week in hospital. My friends dad is ill with a blood virus. I've been feeling 'washed out' and suffering headaches for over a week..........and many of you folks seem to be having similar experiences - and I thought the summer was supposed to make us feel better :( |
