right im not one for normally moaning on here about what people do, i let people get on with it, BUT, ive just got to get it off my chest, as its doing my head in and im about to end up leaving messages on peoples threads etc, which i do not want to do as im not normally like that. well after looking on ancestry for quite a while i managed to find the people they were looking for :-), which felt great, so i left the details on there thread on record office, i then went to the tips thread as ya do, guess what, same message asking for a look up, with another answer ( same as mine) from someone else, then i went onto general and guess what, the same thing, well HUH!!!!, was not impressed at all, i wasted my time, once they get an answer, they delete all message.also, ive noticed its starting to happen quite a lot, as well, am not impressed at all, its putting me off doing look ups when i can. also yes nudge up if ya want, leave ya name or leave nothing, dont bother me, but huh, ive noticed that certain people are nudging up a different way, they delete what they wrote last, then re-do it again, so it looks as though they have just left it, which yes they have, then a few hours later they do the same again, come on, if ya gonna nudge , just nudge please, godness me,!!!!!! oh yes, also went on the trying to find board, to notice that people were using it as a message board to confirm info about a connection they might have,HUH feel a little better now, off to do some look ups :-)

Jacqui, You say a Man of God. I find that they are often the worst. There is nothing more aggravating that the "Holier than thou" attitude they take. I find that the drivers on the road with the worst attitude are the ones with a fish emblem on the back of their cars. Sorry Volvo drivers, but you are not the worst after all.

Thank you Jim and Linda - I have tried to remonstrate sensibly and quietly with said church warden who merely says "well, boys will be boys, my boys are good boys mine are, they never do anything wrong, must be an accident (20 times in 30 mins???)etc etc" I like the idea of the ice cream laced with cyanide, and might be forced to take it myself. My normal response to children other than those of the man of God would be "F......o......you little toerags, otherwise I'll skin you alive" which is generally sufficient I find, but have tempered my recent retorts to simply screaming "Be afraid, be very afraid". It comes to something when you pray for rain after school hours!!! My own son used to get his ear clipped if he got into trouble, and no I did realise that there were not diamonds hanging from his a.s! Why can't folk be reasonable? Is it too much to ask??? I think perhaps if I electrify the fence the shock would do the trick - what do you think? Psycopathic Jacqui

Jacqui, You could perhaps feed them on Ice Creams, Flavour optional, a few suggestions, Rat Poison, Deadly Nightshade, Castor Oil & Prune. So says he who spent his childhood being unseen and unheard. Jim

I have a moan - not a great moan, but a moan none the less! next door's kids (little angels) will insist on kicking their football at my nice new expensive fence. Told them to sod off, like you do and angry parent (church warden) comes around and says "dont swear at my children etc etc" - since when has "sod" been swearing? means a lump of grass to me, with which to hit the aforesaid little angels! How do I stop the little bl....rs from persisting in their action? God knows I am a reasonable adult (and as a church warden he should know that also) but I am just about at my wits end - should I stab the ball when it comes over, retain it (not legal I know) or just cuts their legs from under them when I see them on their bikes???????????? - joke for all those with a diffent sense of humour to me!!! Advice please before I top them, and them myself! Jacqui

ok David at the risk of sounding gullible, are you saying your next door neighbours keep elephants? or did i miss something that would make that thread sound sensible? apart from the fact it must be against some by law or other, they must have a huge garden! and even bigger potting shed. or do you live next door to a zoo????? Sorry, Linda, only just read this. So we are a "we love Majorca" club. We've been in the summer - Hotel Romantic, ah, and Sol hotels - and in early January, nice just after Christmas (and cheap!!). Love the Epiphany parades. Off to Corfu soon. Hold on, we've been forgetting to stir!!! Joy

We've been to Magaluf, Linda, love it, well in the winter anyway. Walking all the way along the prom to Palma Nova, brilliant. And then you can walk into the countryside at the back. And did you go on the train from Palma to Soller? Joy
