Hello Kathleen and John. I live on the south coast of NSW. I suppose just across the pond from John. I've had a big day, the cricket club always have their initial game of the season as a friendly, possibles vs probables. For the first time ever, all my three boys played in the same team. The sun was great and it made me quite sleepy. It was a bit of a tease really for summer activites. love from Yvette

Hi everyone The PC went in for a service on Wednesday a mobile techician had a look and took to the workshop returning it on Friday, only that he forgot and bought back this morning. I had noticed that the used space was rapidly increasing making the PC slow hence the call for service, fortunately it could be fixed and there is plenty of space. The conservatory pad is down now waiting the aluminium and glazing to go up that should be late next week. The tradesmen around here are run off their feet with the amount work thats available. Wheelchair rugby is on TV at 4pm today with our local team playing - plenty of rough and tumble and crashing chairs. Like Mavis I have caught the winter ills coughing and sneezing. John

Hello all, Welcome Yvette, where in Oz are you? Hope Brenda heard you Fred, a nice rest is what she needs as no doubt she will be running around as much as ever when she gets back. Lucky you to catch sight of the little dormouse, they seem to be disappearing from our countryside. Sylvia, hope your new car is comfortable especially for your long drive into Germany. I too envy you your new cleaning lady, she sounds a treasure. Di, Indira is growing into a lovely young lady, she is at school until next May when she will have finished all her GCSE's. She is checking out the colleges but will probably opt for the one nearest home. Her options are Health & Social, Leisure & Tourism and Art; she wanted to do Art & Design but was told she couldn't take three doubles and she may well choose to do this at college. However at the moment she is thinking of Leisure & Tourism. Susan is looking well, sees her oncologist every 3 months and so far so good. Pleased you have recovered from your cold Mavis. Don't forget to disarm your alarm in the mornings - staying at my daughter's house I frequently wake the whole neighbourhood by opening windows forgetting about the alarm. Though this visit I did remember every day. To end on a sad note, maybe some of you remember Alfie? Unfortunately he died yesterday (15th), he knew his illness was terminal but remained so cheerful and brave. I only met him once but feel privileged to have done so. God bless Love Kathleen

Hi everyone. My cold has gone........for good I hope this time. Pip has missed it thank goodness. Hope Brenda will have a good rest - we will look forward to hearing her news on her return. Fred - what a pity you did not have your camera with you to capture the little Doormouse. Always the way. When ever we take our video or camera or both we never seem to see anything unusual to film but if we leave them at home everything happens. How is Mia - sounds a delightful doggie. Sylvia - hope you are enjoying your new car. Your weather sure is hot!! Always feels good when you have your hair done - I love other people doing my hair for me. I envy you with your cleaning lady - she sounds a gem. Been in the garden today to do a little more tidying up - surprising what needs to be done when you look around. My strawberry plants are doing really well - will have to keep an eye on the strawberries and cover them so that the birds do not have a party!! Had an alarm system fitted today - our neighbours had a break in two weeks ago. Computer and booze taken. Perry (neighbour) has an alarm but he never bothers to activate it. He had been in the UK for 8 weeks too. I think he may well activate it now. It is normally trouble free in this area but unnerved me a little so Pip said OK we had better have an alarm. Must go now - regards to all those who I have not mentioned!! Mavis NZ

Goodmorning everyone,on a nice looking sky now that it has become light. For the past three weeks we have had a Dunnock come every morning as it gets light and sits for a good half an hour and treats me to a little song and dance up and down the fence top,i look forward to it now ,and hope he,she ,will be here over the winter to keep me cheerful on the cold mornings. I was walking up to the bridge yesterday to cross over the A1.and saw movement in the grass next to the path and so stopped to take a look. I found a little doormouse, sat there cleaning his whiskers ,not a care in the world,i actually bent down for a closer look and had my hand so close i could have picked it up.but it wasn't bothered and carried on grooming,i was so enthralled at the antics i forgot the time and was nearly late for work, again i was without the camera grrrrrrrr. As i am not at work till three today ,i am expecting the call to go shopping as soon as the boss get's out of bede. Nothing was said about the carpet so i don't think i have upset her over geting in first as it were lol. Looking at ssaid carpet this morning ,it looks one heck of a lot better after it's clean ,but i reckon it needs done again in say,a month to get the last of the muck out, weeell .it hasn't been done since we moved in ,so i reckon it's done well. The new hoover and cleaner we bought as a package are worth their weight in gold to us already,it's taken so much dust out of the carpet in a week that i reckon Liz will be finding it a lot easier to breatjh this winter ,needless to say,the hoover we had ,only two years old is needing a new home, because the new dyson is going nowhere . Brenda has picked a nice day for the start of her holiday, but i do hope she will spoill herself, starting by sitting her bum down and relaxing instead of flying around like a demented dervish she is in dire need of slowing right down and having at least a week of lounging around and pandering to her own needs[you listening Brenda?] Cor,i will def' be going shopping this morning, the missus is already up,at seven in the morning ,this is unheard of, she must have turned over in her sleep and fell out of bed hee hee. Look's as though i may get the chance to remove the last of the weed later this morning if the weather stays this way ,the sky is blue for once this week and the sun is warming things up nicelly. Must be off for a look on the boards ,but will be back later before Sean gets up and i loose the puter for the rst of the day lol. Take care peeps, and enjoy the coming weekend.Fred,

Hi Kathleen, Fred, Dorothy, Sylvia, Brenda, and John, Kathleen I meant to reply before to your query re Evelyn Gresty from 100 Mile House. She didn't stay around for too long did she? I think that was at the start of the infighting on the board and she was probably turned off by it. A pity because she started that fun thread about cats and dogs, and would probably have initiated some more good ones. I don't know if she's still a member. How are Susan and Indira? She must be a lovely young lady now. Has she finished school, and what is she planning to do next? Hope Susan is recovered from her bad year. Are you finished with the packing yet Brenda, and I hope that you're feeling well enough to enjoy the trip. I'm off to be a couch potato for the evening; may do a little knitting if Pan allows, and if I don't fall asleep. Take care all, Love, Di.xxx

Hi Kath,'Di,Sylvia,Brenda ,and everyone else. The other site Di ,is an invitation only, so concerned are they to keep the trouble makers out,so IF i get an invite myself ,i will wait until i am able to invite people and let you know, but i have to find someone to let old Fred loose on there first lol. Kath',you seem to have had a nice time ,and you took a break whilst all the hoo haa was going on,so you didn't miss a lot ,only trouble being ,some of the nuggets seem to be determined to start it all off again, sigh,no wonder a lot of use are spending more and more time elsewhere. We are all off trying the new van out on Friday night, going up to Kielder we hope, but i should be bake on time Sunday to go and see the family. This was just a quick one as i am off out very shortly and havn't had my shave yet[smacks wrist],so i will see you all later on,have a nice day all.Fred.

Hello all, Thank you to all who sent e-mails so that I knew what was happening. I have been away for a couple of weeks and though I had access to a computer was not able to spend much time other than checking my e-mails. So pleased it all seems to have been sorted out now. Spent time with my two grandsons whilst my daughter and her husband had a holiday on their own. The boys are grown up now but at least I kept them to having proper mealtimes and made sure the cat was fed. Though I'm sure they would have managed perfectly well on their own it was great to spend time with them and I had lazy days sitting out in the garden doing nothing much. I was entertained by a pair of robins who sang to me every morning and early evenings, they popped down for the odd visit and to pick up a few tasty insects from the lawn. We did have a thunderstorm on Sunday (I think - lost track of days) but otherwise the weather was pretty good. A little chilly in the evenings but otherwise sunny and warm. I went into the town for a couple of hours, just to wander round the shops, had to buy a pair of shoes as I discovered the reason I was tripping up every few steps was because the sole of my shoe had come adrift. Went into a charity shop just to look around and found a short winter jacket I had seen on sale for £45. It was a perfect fit and cost just £13 and had obviously not been worn so I was really pleased with my bargain buy. Must away to my bed now - it's been a long day. God bless Love Kathleen

Hi all, Just a quickie as grub's up, but Fred, what is this 'other site' that everyone is talking about, to which you need an invite? Can't be TFYH as you don't need one for there and you're a member anyway. Do you have to pay to join too.? Mia sounds lovely! See you all later.Love, Di.xxx

Hi all, Well today we picked up our 'new' car and then went along to show it off to our granddaughter. Tomorrow we are going to try out all the bits and bobs. We will drive along the dyke where it is quiet and then sort things out there. Must put some washing away and do a little ironing now as it looks like being a busy week. Thursday I have a pedicure and my hairdresser is coming . I must get some shopping in as Friday we are going to Eindhoven to our eldest daughter. It was so hot here today 30 degrees - really hot. I put the air conditioning on in the car and thought it wasn't working properly until I found Johan had got his window open! men!! Now Brenda, I am sure you must have everything ready for your holiday. When do you go? Nice to hear from you Mavis. You are one of those from the very beginning I think. See you tomorrow, Sylvia xxx

Hi everyone. I'm back. My puta ceased up on me yesterday so had to call in my nice puta man - Neil. He thought the hard drive had packed up but he re-installed everything and all seems to be O.K. now. He is a super guy - just a one man band but kept very busy in Papamoa and Mount Maunganui. Never needs to advertise - just word of mouth. My cold has eased a little now but have been left with a cough. So the Manuka Honey and Lemon is in demand from me! Helps such a lot. Very cold wind here today although sunny. Fred - enjoy the caravan and bet you can't wait to go fishing in the new boat. Pip really misses his boat but he just was not able to manage it any more. Had to be sensible. Goes fishing with friends in the summer and we also go beach casting. Not that we seem to catch fish but the sand and the sea are great! We are only a 5minute drive from the beach. Never gets crowded - so very peaceful. Good to see you all back again. My bed time again Love Mavis NZ
