Hi everyone Again its lovely and sunny today. Yesterday was so warm, I actually did a bit of tidying up in the garden aswell as giving it a good watering. Last night I was on the Chat Board and there was a really good atmosphere and the board was running well too, some times when its running slow, it gets everyones irritated. Lou, I'm glad you are feeling well enough to go back to work. Hope it goes well for Bex at the Village playgroup, why not pamper yourself tomorrow? Christine, Erika will feel a big girl now then, not at kindy anymore.Hope your 7 year old granddaughter is soon better, children usually bounce back quickly dont they? One advantage of them going to school is being able to have one to ones with a daughter. Enjoy! Ann, I know you will have left by now, have a good time. I am not as fit as you, I did have a chuckle at the thought of you with your legs in the air, hope someone had a camera handy! Its the walking that affects my back now, if I know I am going to walk any distance, I take painkillers first. cant believe its less than 10 years since I was walking 14 miles and sometimes up mountain sides. Jude, glad the operation went ahead as planned, I hope he makes a speedy recovery. Brenda, Elisabeth and everyone, I willl catch up with you later See you tomorrow Love June xx |

Hi everyone, Ann, Aren't you the lucky one. I had to search for Fanabe - didn't know where it was and found some wonderful photos of Tenerife - hope you have a lovely time. Brenda and June, We got "Six feet under" before we got "William and Mary". We're on to the second series of "Six feet Under". It has all sorts of stuff in it - a lot of it is very wierd- you never know what is going to happen next! It was the last day of kindy for Erika - so last special day of one on one so we went out for lunch with my daughter. My 7 year old grandaughter came home sick so it doesn't look like she'll be going to the school disco tonight. |

Hi, probably my last post before we leave for Gatwick. Lou sorry to hear you feel no better. have you got any ear plugs, you could put them in and lay on the bed to shut out the noise, or even cotton wool. have a hot lemon drink, put on some relaxing music and read a very light sloppy novel - go on spoil yourself. June, I can touch my toes too, and lie on the floor and touch the floor behind me with my feet (legs over head very undignified, grandchildren think it hilarious). I can also walk about 7 mils easily, although can't easily do steep hills these days because I have a bad back - walking doesn't affect it, but uphill does. Jude, are you still in London. If so I will speak when I return re a meet up in gloucester on lunch time - anyone else welcome to join us. Brenda, Christine and Elizabeth hope all OK with you. Ann glos speak to you all when i get back if I don't have more time today. |

Hi Lou, Sorry you are not feeling any better, how about wrapping your quilt round you and going into one of the back rooms, maybe putting some music on very low to deaden the noise of the workmen. Take care June xx |

Hi everyone Its another lovely sunny day here, I must get out in the garden today, I've been saying that all week and some thing keeps cropping up. I must get out there though bescause from all accounts the weather isn't going to be so good next week. Ann, Enjoy your holiday, I wish I was coming with you. Yes I dont like leaving dirty washing behind, there's enough to do when you come back from holiday. Elisabeth, I wouldn't be able to row for 30 seconds either never mind 30 minutes. Its odd the things we can do though, I can touch my toes but my granddaughter cant but she can walk miles and I cant. Brenda, I have sent my new Email address to you, the old one only works when it feels like it. You sound as though you had a good day in Bury, must go there again sometime, another place to add to the list. Jude, You must be counting the days to you getting Lady, have you decided on a name yet? A couple of weeks ago, I bought Beckham a rubber beer bottle that squeaked, he loved it but soon tore it up, so now I've bought him a fluffy dog that barks, he loves this too and carries it all over the place. He's so pleased with himself when he makes it bark. Christine, I had forgotten about William and Mary, I thoroughly enjoyed that series, I hope there's a follow up. I dont remember 6 feet under, maybe we have that to look forward to. Lou, I hope your cold is getting better, it must be difficult with having babies around. Still with babies and toddlers, there's always one or other of them with something, that's how they build up there resistance. I hope everyone is fine and would love to hear from you. Love June xx |

hi All, Hope all went well with your Godson Jude. I seem to have been rushing around all day sorting out clothes, mostly packed, just the creasable cloths to go in tomorrow morning, we go to the hotel tomorrow pm., leave here about 1.30. I managed to get a last wash done today, don't like leaving things in the wash bin if I can help it. I also tried to finish the monumental inscriptions that I am transcribing onto Excel but still have a few left to do, I did so many that it gave me a headache - as well as made me depressed, I keep trying to work out how long one spouse lived after the other died, then i had several children on there too. thought of a name for new dog yet Jude? Sorry this is a rushed scrawl but i wanted to add something. good to hear from you Lou but sorry you aren't too well, hope you will be better soon. Elizabeth, don't think i could manage 30 seconds on the rower before breakfast let alone 30 minutes!!! everyone else, sorry not to mention you personally, desn't mean i didn't enjoy reading your news though. In case i don't get a chance tomorrow i will rejoin you when i return from holiday. Ann Glos |

Hi everyone, Love the new title. Lou, I haven't seen you for a while hope you're feeling better soon. Just wondering, just to talk about something different - we have that English TV programme "William and Mary" on TV here now - he's and undertaker and she's a mid-wife. We're just up to the bit where he says he's off to NZ to buy a farm! Think it's a lovely programme. We have the American version too - "Six Feet Under" do you have that too? What do you ladies think? |

Hi everyone Its lovely and sunny here again, the only drawback is the plants are so dry, I will have to go and water them. I am typing on my new keyboard, its lovely, the trouble is I haven't got an excuse for my bad typing now have I.Dont tell Peter, he always teases me about my typing. Lou, sorry Cliff and Bex didn't get the jobs, but I always think there is a good reason behind it although we dont see it at the time. Hope your cold is soon better and dont mess around with the other problem, get back to the hospital. You do have your problems with trains dont you? Ann, Your holiday will soon be here now, I have a list too. I'm a right one for lists, I have a Christmas food list as well, Kath, I know what you mean about the windows, the window cleaner came yesterday, so now the windows are clean outside and its showing up the inside! There are a lot of spiders around aren't there, we also have a lot of hornets this year, it must be their type of weather. I think Sylvia brought the good weather with her, I hope she is enjoying her stay in Banbury and that her toe is better. I wonder what has happened about Jude's grandson, is it today or tomorrow, I get so muddled up these days. I hope everyone else is alright, look forward to seeing you again. See you all tomorrow. Love June xx |

Evening all (now i sound like Dixon of D.G. and that dates me!!) haven't been on the boards much today, well just a quick glance earlier and din't see anything that interested me so didn't stop. Had quite a busy day, washing then making a load of tomatoes into a sauce to freeze for later use with pasta. then getting clothes etc ready for the holiday, i have sort of half packed. it isn't the clothes it's the bits and pieces that you have to take, beach mat, towels, charger and adaptor (for camera batteries), then as we self cater i usually take T bags as they are dearer there, books to read - must have those, hand wash, torch. I keep a holiday ;ist on my computer so that i don't forget anything. Then we had a hair appointment, had to pick up the car from the garage where it was having a service (another £54.) We go to a hotel on Thursday as we leave the car there free and they take us to the airport on friday morning. Jude Have you thought of another name for new Lady yet?....Could be Lassy!!! Difficult changing her name as she will need to get used to the new one. Do you know why she was re-homed? I think the person who moved that Peter used to talk to was possibly a Brenda. There were a lot of people who used to chat back then that have 'disappeared' arent there? Shame really. All the best Ann Glos Ann |

Hello everyone :-) Started out a bit grey looking but now the sun is shining and showing up the dirt on my windows - also showing up the spiders webs in the corners. How come those pesky spiders manage to spin so many webs when only yesterday I swept them all away? It is also very windy. Jude, one drawback to living so close to the airport is the dirt, it clings to everything like a thin greasy film. Though, as I said before, we are no longer at the end of the runway. A few years back the aircraft took off or landed right over our rooftops (I swear some of them took a short cut through my bedroom). Now we only get the odd one or two coming overhead but you get used to it. Have lived here for 44 years now. Wasn't it another Brenda who moved house? I'm afraid I can't remember the nickname Peter used for her either - get rather a lot of 'senior' moments these days. My granddaughter has just called in, she said she will be back in a little while. She has been living back with her Mum (my eldest daughter) for nearly two years now, before that she lived with me. I had her from the age of 3 until she was turned 11, how different she is now!! At 13 she is a young lady, growing up much too fast can be very cheeky sometimes but it has been a difficult time for her. Changing schools, her best friend moving away - they were almost joined at the hip always together, and moving back with her Mum. Who also had to get used to dealing with a teenager when she hadn't had the chance to go through the younger years with her. However, they are both coping really well, just need a lot of support from the rest of the family. They live only a few minutes walk away from me and Indira cycles back and forth most evenings. She always has to come to Nan for her cuddles and to have a little chat. June, I hope that Gaynor Ann is soon feeling better, it is horrid to keep getting those light-headed feelings. The worst part is waiting for the test results - why do they always seem to take ages to come back? Have just seen the time and must get on with getting dinner ready for Chris coming in from work. Will have to go now but will be back maybe later. Syvia chose a good week to come here as the weather is quite good at the moment - all set to change next week apparently, so the weather forecaster said. Hope she is enjoying her stay. Elisabeth, Brenda and everyone else hope you are all having a good day and will catch up later. Bye for now Love Kathleen |

Hi everyone Its lovely and sunny here, not that I have had time to enjoy it. This morning my daughter Gaynor send me a message that the doctor had sent her a letter saying he wanted to see her, so would I take her. She still isn't driving because she still keeps feeling lighted headed. Also she thought there was something wrong that showed on the tests he had done, being as he sent a letter. The tests were fine apart from the thyroid test which was borderline so wanted another test doing. He also though it may the hangover from the viral infection she had had, that was causing the tiredness and dizziness. So now we have to wait and see. Then I had some shopping to do, and it was 3.30 by then. Thank goodness Nick fitted my new keyboard and mouse while I was out. I have no excuse now for bad typing! Jude, what a lovely weekend ahead of you, how old is Lady? Brenda, I like the new title, I'm glad Bren is improving, she sent me an email yesterday. Kathleen, Elisabeth, Lou and JA and all others looking in, I hope you are all alright. See you tomorrow Love June xx |

Good morning all - its abit greyish here this morning, whats it like where you lot are?? Kathleen - l did'nt answer ur last message. We just love the planes, don't know about being that near to Heathrow though. How are your family, l remember you talking alot about ur grand daughter visiting u, or you pick her up from school, thats nice to have her that close. We don't have grand children yet - but hey now Dan & Zoe are married and once they have their own place, praps it won't be too long. Can you remind me of some of the names that we used to chat too,one a lady has moved house and said she might not get back on the net for some time - she used to chat to Peter alot with you, can't for the life of me think of her name - she was always so nice!!!?? Peter had a nick name for her, which l also can't remember!! 5 days to go before we get new dog - we might change her name after all,but still not sure to what. My godson and l were talking on msn last night - he was sooooooo upset when Lady (1) died and last night he said "there was and will only ever be one Lady" oh gawd that got me going again and l think he was as well- he's the one going into hosp tomorrow. l now have all the new (charity) curtains up and very nice they look as well. The odd one which is longer, l might use to make the back ones fuller, they look ok but could do with abit extra oooomph in them - hubby being the old fart, says "they look fine" - but what doe's he know!!!!! lol More sorting to do today - the storeroom needs organising and stuff moved so we can do some minor repairs, there is a long strip of daylight coming through, which is fine now cause most days its warm - but in the winter it will be very cold and damp, we have heaters waiting!!! We also need to get a plug sorted for the computer, not sure about the lighting, what we have should be ok. Must do more ironing, thing is most of my clothes don't fit - really embarassing - l might have to end up wearing Vics track suit bottoms!!!!!!!! lol - gawd thats not funny,he's a 38" waist and 31" inside leg - l could take off like a balloon, infact that might get me to London quicker than the coach!!!!! lol lol Elizabeth - do you still have your son and friend staying with you? are they still loading the dishwasher?? l was hoping to have our son here this weekend for a photo session but we're going there now and pick the dog up,so a much better idea - then l don't have to cook either!!!!!!! Are you still aching from the pruning - l really must do some gardening, l mean gardening and not the little bits that l have done - needs major weeding, inparts some are 2-3ft tall!!!!! June - you did have a funny old day, do hope its better today. Have you sorted the keyboard?? We get the dog on Sunday.Sat at 10am we have to be there for an adoption talk, then onto son's,then collect dog onway home Sunday - no doubt we will have son etc following us to kennels!!!!! Lou and Christine - how are you?? Hope l have'nt missed anyone:o) See yeh Jude sarf wales |
