Kathleen Report 16 May 2005 00:54

Hello, sorry I have missed posting this week. Susan has been having a bit of a rough time and I have not really been able to concentrate on anything. Sylvia, what dreadful weather, I do hope you have some really good sunshine in Spain - but not too hot of course. Maybe by the time you get home again you will return to better weather. Have a good relaxing holiday, you are very well organised with your packing. Brenda, pleased to hear you have had a good weekend. We have had a lovely sunny day here, so nice now that the wind has gone. It was so gusty and blew everything around but it has remained dry. June, in case I don't get back in time HAPPY BIRTYHDAY on Tuesday. Hope everyone else has had a good week. Have a good night everyone God bless Love Kathleen

Hi everyone, I've just realised that I didn't post a message yesterday, I was finding so many people on the 1861 census, I couldn't leave it alone. Brenda, I'm glad you had a good time in Cleveleys and that the weather was kind. I will be over there next week, a friend from Fleetwood rang to say we are due for another get together. Sylvia, I hope you have a good holiday, trust a man not to consider the weight of books. Kathleen, I hope Susan is feeling a little better now, she really has had a rough time of it and of course this puts a strain on you. My grandson flies back to Copenhagen today, so we are a little sad about that, we do miss him so much but he seems very happy there, we know we have to let him go but it still is quiet without him. Thankyou all for your Birthday messages, I haven't decided what to do yet, I'm sure I will think of xomething. Take care everyone. Love June xx

Well I'm all packed and only have some dinner to cook, but apart from that have been taking it easy as we'll not have much sleep tonight. Johan will have an hour or so after dinner and not go to bed, whereas I prefer to go to bed from 11pm-3 am. I even made a children's card today and did some more cutting out. I did a last washing machine - no ironing. Annemie, bless her, will come in and take my last washing for me. Annemie can iron so beautifully. Johan's shirts will have folds where they've never seen folds before. She also waters the indoor plants and those on the balcony. Have a lovely birthday tomorrow June. See you all over 2 weeks; Sylvia xxx

Kathleen, sorry Susan is not good at the moment ,its all ups and downs isn't it ?Hope she is soon on the up. have loads of photos to scan,so been sorting them out. Know what you mean about 1861 June was the same myself.finally I think I have found my gt ,gt,gt grandparents in a place near Preston, the name escapes me at the minute. But because it is 1822c and 1795c I am not sure where to go next,to confirm it. Off to bed now,did my usual trick of falling aslepp at 7.30 for 20 mins and now not tired ,but got to go and try . take careBrenda

Nice to hear you had a great time on holiday Jude, and it sounds as though madoc had a good time too. Talking of the boss, has any of you seen the thread [The dog Dictionary] put on by Maz? it gave me a good chuckle cause she could have been describing Madoc to a t and come to think of it it is so true of the antics that my pets used to get up too,all that was missing were the soulful looks i used to get when i caught them sliding onto the sofa.I hope Sue is feeling a good bit better by now,but she is a plucky young lady ,and i'm sure it won't keep her down for long. I'm waiting for the arrival of the new pet,Gaynor Bear junior, but because of a slight fo -par,she will arrive a bit late ,and i will have to go to the post office to pick her up,so i had better watch how i open the letter in case she is hungry ,or i may get my fingers chewed.he he.I'm off to bed now ,but may yet be down again if i can't get to sleep..Fred.PtfA&G&G&S.

Hi everyone, Thanks for your Birthday messages, I had one of the nicest birthdays ever. It was lovely having the family with me when I got up, I opened my cards and pressies with everyone watching. Then we went through to Lytham to see Gaynor's solicitor and barrister about her car accident. In the evening they took me out for a meal, it was lovely. Today I have been to the hospital for tests but they hadn't got my notes and had to email my doctor for theirs. So now they will be sending for me again to go for the tests that should have been today. Sylvia should now be in Spain, I hope she is a lot warmer than I am at the moment. I shouldn't really grumble I have got one load of washing dry already. Brenda, you probably went to Cleveleys via the M61, I was thinking you would be coming the M6 way but of course it depends which side of Manchester you live. York is a lovely place to visit, enjoy yourselves. Kathleen, I hope Susan is feeling a bit better by now. Jude, I'm glad you enjoyed your holiday, you must show us a photo of you in your wedding outfit. Fred, You take good care of that GaynorBear now, lol Well its nearly teatime so I will be on my way. I haven't done any cooking since Gaynor moved in, mind at this time of the year we have nearly all our birthdays so we are out quite a bit. Take care everyone. Love June xx

Here June ,Fred is'nt too sure about this bear after today,i went down to drop the new cheque off at Jennies ,pulled up at the house and got out of the car, walked up the drive pulling the envelope out of my pocked when i noticed this little pink bear in the window,i think it was on guard ,and it growled at me showing her teeth, and i'm thinking ,if this bear and liz gang up on me ,i have no chance lol. At least Mini Gaynor has some brothers and sistersupstairs already ,and she won't be lonely.I must get a small table and a couple of chairs so that he grandkids can have their picnic on the lawn ,they will be tickled pink. I may as well go and do a bit more research tonight ,can't sit outside as it's raining ,there is now't on tele and iv' run ouit of lager ,oh well------------Fred.PtfA&G&G&S.

Hello everyone, It has been fairly bright but cloudy and cold today, now it is raining. Hope the forecast is right and it will be sunny and a little bit warmer tomorrow - though they also forecast some showers. Susan is feeling a bit better and thankfully has changed her mind about stopping the treatment. It was a big worry at the time though. She has been for her radiotherapy planning and is awaiting the date to start, I think her next course of chemo is in two weeks. Daisy finally arrived at 21.59 on 17th weighing 71bs 12ozs, lots of dark hair and absolutely gorgeous. Her Mum is doing well but tired. Having been niggling away for 10 days when it all got going it was quite quick but very intense. Hope Sylvia is enjoying her holiday in the sun and that everyone else has had a good day. Will catch up with you all tomorrow all being well. God bless Love Kathleen

Hi everyone, Its a but dull here at the moment but hopefully it wiil brighten up later. It did start to rain later yesterday but I had managed to get two lots of washing dry by then. Fred, Are you sure that the little bear growled at you? I'm sure it would smile rather than growl, lol. When you get the chairs out for the little bears and your grandchildren, you take some photos for us to see. I'm sure Liz will enjoy the picnic too. Kathleen, Congratulations on the birth of Daisy, its lovely having babies around. I'm pleased that Susan has decided to carry on with her treatment but I can understand her feeling that way sometimes, she has been very brave throughout all this. I know I have said this before but I am thinking of having a go at making cards, yesterday I saw one that Gaynor had made a while back, I was so impressed I really must have a go. I think I may have to wait until we have moved though. Well I suppose I had better get ready for everyone getting up, I love this time in the morning when I have some time to myself. Have a good day. Love June xx

Hi Kathleen,i'm glad to hear that Susan has decided to carry on with the treatment,it's hard ,and painful at times ,but we are all still rooting for her ,and so are lots of others . It seems to have gone quiet on the thread ,has every one gone on holiday or have a load of them emigrated?,come back you deserters. The weather is'nt too good ,so s soon as the bricklayer has been to replace the two bricks damaged during the installation of the windows ,i will go to the library and do a bit more in the gro room. Have a good day all ,i will be back later .Fred.PtfA&G&G&S.

Boy Sylvia ,there you are ,out in sunny Spain, having the time of your life ,and you waste time playing with faulty Keyboards insteat of enjoying the sun that most of us would give our eye teeth for,now that is SAD.lol. Get yourself outside and rattle the bars[either sort]and enjoy yourself ,have a great holiday. I,m going to have a go at my tree again tonight because i think i may have found my gt gt grandad at long last [yipee],and may also have found his spouses name ,and family.good eh?He say's hopefully.Have a great weekend all ,in case i can't get back on here,it would seem i have a picnic to arrange ,and possibly a b.b.q at my son's on Sunday.I may even get some photo's of the picnic ,in honour of the new addition of the family ,namely a little pink bear named by the granddaughter as twinkle after Gaynors star.Fred.PtfA&G&G&S.

Kathleen Report 21 May 2005 02:26

Hello everyone, After raining most of the night the day started fairly dull and chilly but then brightened up. By this afternoon it was sunny and warm but still windy, we had one or two small showers then but it remained bright although turned chilly again around 6ish. I seem to have spent the day running around, took Susan to the Day Centre this morning. Came home and put the washing on the line, it was blowing quite nicely. Then did a couple of hours work - the exercise is good for me but how I hate those horrible letter boxes that snap your fingers off!! Also who had the bright idea of sticking the letter box at the BOTTOM of the door??? I really hate those, hard on the back. A couple of days ago I was bitten by a dog, he was sitting quietly behind the door - no warning barks just snapped at my fingers - then he barked!! Nothing serious but caught one finger just at the base of my nail so it is a bit sore, made me jump a bit. Got home in time to hang out some more washing, had a cup of tea and then went to pick Susan up. After I dropped her off at home went to do some shopping for her and then off out again to deliver some orders. Back home at just after 7.30 this evening. Luckily I had made a shepherds pie for dinner tonight so not too much to do this evening. Hope you are making the most of that sunshine Sylvia, it sounds wonderful. Relax and enjoy the break. Fred, a picnic sounds good but it would have to be a bit warmer for me. June and Brenda, it seems to be a case of so near yet so far. I can travel on the M4 and actually see a friends house but to get to see her takes about 40 minutes once I get off the motorway. One of these days I will have to travel up north again, would be nice to revisit Preston and Manchester areas though no doubt it would all look very different now. Last time I was in Manchester I got lost, was late back to camp and in trouble as a result!! Claire, hope we hear from you again soon. Whereabouts in France are you? Must go to bed now. Have a good night everyone God bless Love Kathleen

Morning everyone, I'm sorry I didn't get on yesterday, my niece came over , then in the evening I fell asleep just after 8 o'clock, I think this decorating lark has caught up with me. lol The sun is out but we have had some heavy showers during the night. I hope they keep away today. I would actually like to get back to my Family Tree, so I am hoping I get the chance,(Aren't I unsociable, lol) Fred, I hope you did find your gt gt Grandfather and wife, I hope the weather keeps nice for you BBQ too. Welcome Claire, it must be lovely scenery around you. Have you put any photos on the GC Photos page? I would love to see them. Brenda, I would like to go to the Reebok to the cards exhibition, I have mentioned it but Saturday my niece is over and I dont know what has been planned for Sunday yet. Never know we may bump into each other. Kathleen, Your days sound like mine, always running around after people. If you ever do get back up north, you must let us know, so that we can arrange a meetup. I would like to go back to Derbyshire to see where my rellies where, I suppose its a case of just deciding on a date and not letting anything get in the way of going. I am trying to keep the dogs quiet, everyone is still in bed, Beckham wants to play but Bonnie (she is 14 years old) doesn't want to and she keeps barking at him, so I had better go and sort them out. I hope the weather keeps good for your picnics/BBQs etc. Love June xx

Hi Everyone, sorry i wasn't on here yesterday,I was working all day .My aunt (my mothers sister, she is 83 )had a stroke in the week and John and I took dad to see her,she is in hospital in Oldham. She is very poorly but better than when she had it. She has a large family ,children, granchildren etc.so there is always lots of visitors, My sister went today and she was talking a bit more than yesterday, she was really sleepy yesterday and was not even trying to talk. By the time we had got back and had a drink and watched a dvd we had borrowed it was bed time. June,we had a good day at the Reebok, did look for you,was half expecting a tap on my shoulder !!! My friend who is into making cards was really pleased she bought a few things and we bought her some things for her birthday so she was really happy. She said she could have spent a lot more but she is going on holiday next week to one of the Italian lakes and thought she had better save some money for there. Kathleen, please becareful, you do seem accident prone at the moment, Let me know anytime you are up here and we will arrange our own little meeting. Need to iron some clothes now as I am out early on an errand again tomorrow.Hope to see you about lunch time Take care ,Brenda
