I awoke, refreshed and relaxed to a lovely sunny day. Younger son went out with his friend. husband decided to take older son out for kicking practice so I would have the house to myself. I showered, had a cup of coffee, put on thin summer trousers & t-shirt. Got onto this site and ... yep, it's raining stairrods! Husband and son will now mope in front of tv and other son will return with drowned rat impersonation. Thank goodness I didn't rush us all out of the house with a picnic! nell

Its sunshine with showers here and its blowing a gale - but thats nothing new cos we're right next to the sea. We were going out but decided against it cos it will probably bucket down later (there's some huge black clouds over the sea and they seem to be heading this way). Hope everyone has a good day. Went to Whitby today with a friend, blue skies all the way until we got near Goathland then it poured down,There were only a couple of small showers but my friend found it was very cold, but I think she is a bit soft.It certainly blew the cobwebs away but I love Whitby in any season even in winter. On the way back home of course it chucked it down again near Guisborough but what the heck we had enjoyed the nice weather that we had. Sue
