Just add a thought - why not combine this with our Yorkshire Meetup that we are trying to arrange. Possibly attend this then meet up for dinner afterwards? Just an idea. Joanne |

West Yorkshire Archive Service Local and Family History Day 13th of November, 2004 West Yorkshire Archive Service, with partners West Yorkshire Archaeology Service and Wakefield District Libraries and Museums, will hold a major event to show what they have to offer to local and family historians. Although this year's event will focus on the Wakefield area, it will have information of interest to people from all over the North of England, with groups and societies from a wide area having stalls and displays. The Archive Service will bring its parish and other registers on microfiche, and there will be plenty of opportunities to consult the experts. The Archives Conservation Team will also be on hand, giving practical displays of their skill, and offering visitors the chance to try some activities for themselves. Any group interested in having a stall, please contact Sylvia Thomas to discuss arrangements. Open: 10.30 am - 4.30 pm Admission Fee: £1.50 (children 50p) West Yorkshire Archive Service The Cathedral High School Thornes Road Wakefield WF2 8QF [map] T: 01924 305980 F: 01924 305983 E: [email protected] |
