Carole.... how do you think I'm gonna be stupid enough to do it with the vino? It's all part of my training programme.... walk for a while and that's rewarded by a glass or 6 of red wine!! :O) Then stagger home.... takes longer on the way home but at least i'll get used to walking on wobbly ground!! Just go easy of the old vino, can't have you staggering along the Great Wall! ;-) Carole

People keep telling just what a challenge i have taken.... I must admit I didn't expect it to be a walk in the park but maybe it'll be tougher than even I anticipated.... I am fortunate enough though to have some great training partners lined up and with the support you lot are giving me.... I will do this!! Diana

Hi Diana, I will go on your website & donate in a minute. I have done some voluntary work for CRUK in the past and know what vital work they do. I have also visited the Great Wall twice, when on holiday in China. I only walked a couple of miles, but it killed me! It is REALLY hard going! I envy you going to China as it is fantastic there, but not the walk! Good luck, I hope you raise thousands for a really good cause. Also I'd like to wish all the best to Gaynor, I know you read this thread too. Carole

Oh Diana - what have you let yourself in for!!! How about a "Diana in Training" diary and let us all go through the aches and pains with you? This will also keep the subject going until the great event and probably grab a few more donations. Nes
