Good Morning All, Hi Brian, thanks for the mail will get back to you as soon as I can. Clive welcome to the Brummie site, its sad when you see all the old houses being pulled down. But there are a lot of books about of Birmingham with some very nice photos in them. John, Poor dear are you getting mixed up re the black belt. Origami is some thing to do with paper folding, making flowers and ducks and things. LOL Margaret, So your garden does not start moving till late, I have all my daffs in bud. Also all my crocus and snow drops are in flower. Went into the greenhouse on Tuesday and started to clean it up ready for all my seeds etc to be delt with. My cutting that I took last year are doing well. Spring cant be far off as my fish in the garden pond have started to come up to the surface. Must watch out now for the frogs to come back. Hi Jan & Rick. Hope you two have recovered from your flu Jan and cold Rick LOL. Have a nice week end if you are still going away. Faith thanks for the mail glad you are ok. Jim Hope all is well in your part of the woods. It would be nice if Clive and Brian would pay a visit to our site. Say hello to Mary for me. Where are you Di, remember to put a 1/- in the meter as this makes your computer work. LOL Brenda are you still in trouble with MSN as your replys yesterday did not come on my PC. I kept sending winks etc and I did get a few winks back. Sent you mail last night with a picture of Aston Villa 1912/13 Football team for Joe and Keith. This is all for now so take care and be good. Evening Everyone, Good to see a few around, John I had a look in a Thread about West Midlands and see you where on there ,talking about the fingure post at Pelsall, it was my Brother in Law from Pelsall that made it for the Village, I was talking about it a while ago when we got on to Brummies Vs Black Country guys. All you people that are already getting you gardening planned and even seeing life in the ground make me envious it will be at least March or April before anything starts moving around here. still while you are all working out there I will be sitting in a nice armchair thinking about you. Nighty Night Marg

Hi - It's that man again! "Can I do yer now sir?" Sorry I can't help with the Digbeth Home either. Faith, between you and Margaret you'll get me into trouble (I hope!) ;-)))))))))} I didn't suggest burning down the old mans house, only the gym as it would be a lifesaver, just think how greatful he would be ;-)))))))} I don't have a black belt, not in Tai Chi, I think you get those in Origami? June, you said that you would let your legs go "cheep", I had visions of a chuck running around clucking "thanks a bunch" 8-))))))} you wouldn't hit a man in glasses - would you? Anyway, how are your poor old knees today, good job you aint no heavyweight eh! NEWS FLASH........................ Mrs Irene Graham of Boscombe, delighted the audience with her reminiscence of the German prisoner of war who was sent each week to do her garden. He was repatriated at the end of 1945, she recalled. "He always seemed a nice friendly chap, but when the crocuses came up in the middle of the lawn in February 1946, they spelt out "Heil Hitler". Tarrarabit - John xxxxxxx

Morning Everyone, Loved the verse Jim, bought back lovely memories of living at Aston Cross, so tell me why am I living here with a beutiful sunrise coming up over the Rocky Mountains in stead of over Rocky Lane, watching the mountain sheep and the deer coming to eat my grass, instead of watching the trucks pulling in to Ansells and HP. now the smell of the chip shop I have nothing to compare to,still the best smell around. Must be time for a trip back to Brum soon. maybe in the Spring. Now John, you sure have a mean streak, burning houses down to melt snow !!!! Well off to a Hospital Auxillary meeting so have to go, talk to you all soon Marg

Happy Bunny Jim. Glad to see a lot of you back on thread. It makes me feel blue when no one is there to talk to or about. My wish for to-day-- For all you that are feeling under the weather or suffering aches and pains. I hope you feel much better when you have read my little effort, for those of you who are fit and well, I hope you continue to keep that way. Oh to be in Birmingham, Now that spring is there, Walking round the gas works, Air is full of tar, Walking past the HP plant, Smell the vinegar there, Strolling round Ansells, What a malty smell. What about the chip shop With its smell of fish and chips, Linger round the bakery, What a lovely aroma, Who needs the open fields The countryside, the smells The farmer's been muck spreading, The pigs are in the field Mind where you put your foot The cows are munching grass Oh to be in Birmingham now that spring is there!!!! LLol to all you town and country lovers From Home bird Jim and his better half Mary C.

Hi everyone still feel yucky - havent been able to go to work yet this week, we are going away friday for the weekend so really need to get better. Rick went back to work Monday so at least its peaceful. :-)) Thanks for the card Mum. Hope everyone else is well. June its horrid isnt it when you take your time to write stuff for people and they dont contact you back it makes you feel very grrrrr. I havent found that happen very often luckily and I have had loads contact me who I knew right away we werent connected but I would always reply and say so. I recieved a certificate last week which opened up a lot of info and gave me loads more for my tree - I havent really looked at it much as I was poorly Rick traced it all for me but I know he was finding them by the coachloads!! And every family he found had servants!! Of course I told Rick we had to follow suit and he could become my servant!! His answer is not repeatable for this board lol :-)) Anyway I will stop rambling on for now and will write again soon take care all love Jan xx

Hi, Its that man again. Weather cold and miserable here, and I am doing nothing exciting June. Rotten day having to get up early for Tai Chi and my changed medication seems to be a bit short on strength. I started the day with someone elses knees (if I could find the owner I'd kill em) ;-(((((((((((} Margaret, why don't you go next door and burn down the old blokes gymnasium, it could do you and him the world of good and melt the snow at the same time - I'm joking, honest! You wouldn't hit a man in glasses - would you? 8-(((((((} Here's an old one that someone might be able to finish for me. I'm looking for an angel, 'cos angels are so few. But until the day that one comes along, I'll string along with you............... I meen that most sincerely folks ;-)))))))))))} It hasn't taken very long to fill 20 pages has it, don't forget, from now on it's last message first folks! "Aythangyo" 8-) looks just like Arthur Askey dont it? Tarrarabit - John xxxxxxx

Hi, I am back having a little look to see if any body is about. Marge like you I would miss this thread. But what can we do ? I keep asking people to come back I have a fed up day to day reason is I had some names come in that may match my relies. So off I went and wrote all the names and dates for this person. They did not even come back to me and say yes or no if there was a connection. Very bad manners. As it would not take them long to answer. I think our John is working hard, building him self up to come over the pond to do Faiths and Marge their odd jobs. I think he is willing to have a go. As long as you feed him well and have the kettle on. Come in John your time is up standing on one leg at your class. Jim I hope all goes well for Mary with her eyes. I will be thinking of her. Well friends I will be off now to get the tea on for my sir. (the other half) ha ha. Byeeeeee June.

Hi you can't keep a good Brummie down so here I am. Jan sorry to hear you are not too well. You need to get a good sweat on and get it out of your system. I will not tell you how, maybe you have an answer to that one!!!!Tell Rick to give you lots of TLC, that will make things better in no time. LOL June Where is every one, have we men frightened them all away? Thank you for your concern but I am really OK. Mary has to go to the eye hospital next week, it seems one of the sacks that the new lens are put in,has clouded up and she will need laser treatment. Never rains but it pours. Where have all the girls gone-- long time no hear. All for now LLOL Jim and Mary C.
