The Dambusters - correct - and Richard Todd played Guy Gibson in it. He was in The Virgin Queen (1955) as Sir Walter Raleigh; Operation Crossbow (1965) as Wing Cmdr. Kendall;

Is that a Scottish thing then you and Aileen anything to go by? Poor Mum was upset, nothing to do with her just they brought it to a head, i had been unwell for a few days but not bad enough to go to the docs.
