Both Christine, it was a play and became a statement, meant the Government had to change the way they treated families and overcrowding. It remains one of the best things I have ever seen. Do you remember Kes? Family Life? Poor Cow? There was a song called Up the Junction by Squeeze inspired by Ken Loach's play of the same name. Pat x

I remember going to see Kes with my Mum. Her from Corrie was the mother in it wasn't she. And Up The Junction, i remember that too, now was there a girl in that got an abortion in the days before it was legal?

Well I think my walrus wouldn't do badly in flattening the clothes I'm gonna try it sometime I used to do things like that in the Nurses home but that was incase someone nivked me stuff LOL i forgot about it, will try it let you know, how I get on. Pat x

Barefoot in the park was a film with a lovely lead bloke in it... Hippies Marion yeah with bells on of course. LOL Oh the days I did the Oxfam walk in 1969 when i was at school I also cut my teeth demonstrating at the American Embassy in London against the Vietnam War with a wave of hippies LOL As for you Christine you like winter, ironing and talking foreign blimey we are so different its ridiculous. silly mare LOL Pat x

Christine I was brought there by my lefty Dad. I was hang on count on me fingers hey Marion you aint that much older than me then, LOL thought so I was about 12-13 funny cause a few years later I got hit by a copper and I kicked him too, and ran for me life through the crowd. I remember thinking i would be caught by them I was nearly wetting me self. Oh Christine I knew what Vietnam was, although only there was this War on and it wasnt right, then the Civil Rights and I remember standing for Dr Martin Luther King on his assassination. Oh the demonstrations I was on, all you had to say was there's a demo and I was ready LOL. I was in the anti nazi league as well so I kept going right up to the 1980's. Pat x
