Pink,if youre looking for somewhere to stay, try the innkeepers lodge that someone recommended. Its cheaper to book for 2 nights for some reason though(Fri Sat and Sun is £99 while just Sat and Sun are £107)They had single rooms available in Newcastle(near the Airport) Lodge which I think is on the Metro line into Newcastle.Im staying at the Cramlington one which is further out because I wanted a family room. You get free breakfast too lol www(.)innkeeperslodge(.)com Anna :-)

There will be a Red Rose for all that come to the meet. Sorry only artificial though. Not sure if i can provide St. George Flags after all. Does anyone have any ideas for name badges? I am a little bit worried that there has not been much response over the past week or two from a lot of those who have said they are able to make it. The Licencee of the Three Bulls Heads is very kindly reserving seats, in the upstairs area. It is very quite upstairs and mostly used for the dining area. She may be having to loose potential customers to accomodate us. Please let me know if you are still able to come. I am so looking forward to the day. Jenny. x

Jenny I think youve done a great job! Its an ideal place to start the relay i think, because you will be there(it was your idea)and also Pink will be there and its the Pink fund that will benefit from any donations received from Gaynor Bears journey. My two boys are 6 and 8 and they would love to be there at the beach to see Gaynor Bear,Ill charge my camera batteries up too Im North of the Forth Road bridge by the way,so if you need anyone to take the bear up north further,or back down to Newcastle,I can do it Anna :-)

Anna, Gaynor Bear will be with me all day and night long. Children are not allowed to be in The Three Bulls Heads. But they will be able to see her, Hug, Cuddle, dip her toes in the sea and show her how to build sandcastles, weather permitting, in Tynemouth. My two Grandsons will be up from the Midlands and will be around in Tynemouth on the afternoon for an hour. They are 10 and 6 yrs old. Bring your camera if you can. Obviously I shall have to get back to Newcastle if there are lots that do not want to go to Tynemouth. I just hope I have done the right thing in starting the GR Relay at the same time as the Geordie meet. Jenny. x

Ok.Well anytime is fine with me.Glenn said he will come and collect me whenever im ready(which will be about midnight :-)) Can I meet you at the train station though,Ill get there about 10.30,cos im no good at walking into pubs by myself! If you go to Tynemouth in the afternoon,do you think it would be ok if I got Glenn to take my 2 boys there to see the bear? Anna :-)

Mommylonglegs Report 8 Apr 2005 23:12

Anna, I am not too sure. I shall be at Central Station at about 10.30am. Hopefully all that are arriving by train will be there around 11am. When I am sure all have arrived that are going to, we shall go to the Three Bulls Heads. Those with cars will probably already be there. After introductions coffee or drink I would imagine some will want lunch. Some may have to leave early I am not sure. I would imagine it all depends on how successful it seems to be going. I would suggest about two or three o'clock. Once the tide is out. I am not expecting everyone to want to get the 25 minute journey by metro to Tynemouth. It would be great if they did. I was hoping that more would have popped onto this thread over the last day or two just to let me know that they still intend to be with us. I shall play it by ear. Shall be around till the last are ready to go. Whether it be Newcastle or Tynemouth. Even if it is after dark. Jenny. xx

Thanks Ann, I just knew you would turn up. I hope all the rest are still going to be able to make it. It is promising to turn out into a fun day. I am so pleased Pink is going to join us. I have been in touch with the Licencee of the Three Bulls heads again today and filled her in on all the new developments and she is very supportive and looking forward to meeting us all. Jenny xx
