Anybody ever see a musical called A slice of Saturday night? It was such fun. I often arrange a coach party for all our friends to go and did this show twice, it was such a laugh, and when you came out of the theatre you felt good all over. Lynda |

Yes Lynda ,great thread idea! I've seen Cats & We will Rock You. Both good. Only trouble is, 2 of us went to see Cats and 3 came back, if you catch my drift. Hes 14 now and called Andrew , (maybe partly i n tribute to A. L-W!) I would love to see Les Miserables but the music always makes me cry, and the family is big enough now anyhow. Joan. |

Well Joan you got your moneys worth then :))) I have seen Les Mis, but saw it a week after Miss Saigon, and shouldn't have gone so soon after, as I still had Miss Saigon music going round my head. Liked it but want to see it again so I can really appreciate it. Never came back from any Theatre with an extra though, nice one :)) |

Deanna. Oh yes! Evita. I think it is my favourite of all. I saw the show many years ago with David Essex and Elaine Page. Know all the tuns by heart! |

We just missed David Essex and , the two leads were played by UNDERSTUDIES....they were brilliant. They both got standing ovations. Deanna |

Hi Veronica Glad you enjoyed your trip. I saw Sheila Hancock in a play, can't remember it's name because it was long ago, it was about a school. Haven't heard of the Anniversary, but if I get a chance I will see it, she is a very good actress I think, so I'm sure her performance was great. Lynda |

Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera at The Hippodrome in Bristol - absolutely wonderful productions! In Phantom - 'he' swung from the back of the theatre to the stage on a chandelier - WOW! And how in Les Mis - they depicted the suicide from the bridge I have no idea - but it gave me vertigo! lol Also saw Art in London - when it had Richard Griffiths in it - small theatre and can't for the life of me remember the name now - but I laughed so much (I was up in London on a course and therefore on my own) - that the bloke sitting next to me got up and moved!! LOL I've also seen the Old Vic theatre school productions of A Christmas Carol and Frankenstein - both absolutely brilliant - Nearly had a heart attack when Frankenstein came up through a trap door virtually at my feet - with the theatre in absolute darkness!! lol If anyone gets the chance to go to The Torch theatre in Milford Haven too (hope it's still there!) then GO! - We saw that 'Scottish Play' there - and the whole theatre was done out like the inside of a castle - wonderful! AND the drunken gatekeeper appeared to 'pee' on stage - it was hard not to laugh too much. AND to top it all - there was a 'bar show' afterwards where the whole of the cast - including one or two well known faces - had fun and games (literally) with the theatre goers - great laugh!. I love the Theatre, and have enjoyed many, many shows over the years, but my two favourites have got to be Me and My Girl and 5 Guys named Mo, have seen them both twice and would go again, and again, and again. Yvette |

Last show I saw was The Rat Pack. That is fantastic, especially as I am a Sinatra fan. My Father in Law came, he loved it too and we will go again to see it. Lynda |

i went to the theatre just before xmas with my kids and a friday club they go to. we saw the ugly duckling....i know it's a kids thing but with 3 people doing it and bringing in a few other story titles is was really good. they kept the kids interested for the whole hour of the show |

Sarah I think most things at the Theatre are good, whoever it's for. Even if what I have gone to see isn't very good, I look at the scenery, and think how clever it is. If you can get your kids into liking the Theatre at a young age hopefully it is something that will stay with them forever. Then they always have an interest in something. |

Lynda - It was a wonderful production - but it must have taken a week for the hairs to go down on the back of my neck...and as for the music in my head! As for going on after the meet - Next time - you're ON !! Magsxx |
