Something very weird has happened - after having read the original thread last night (NOT today) I now see that it has appeared on the main board, despite the fact that it was in MY THREADS ONLY - I have said as much as an amendment, I just hope no one thinks I did this - I didn't!! The problem for reading it is that, as I said above, it reads disjointedly because some people have deleted ...... hopefully it'll just wander down into my MY THREADS again.....

Mommylonglegs I have most of them on here - but when I checked back (via My Threads), sadly a lot of people have deleted their posts so it reads a bit disjointedly. Lindy in the Algarve I assure you I have 'a' Boris by my pond, he was residing in a Garden Centre near here, and I felt so sorry that our fun time had ended, I bought him and brought him home with me - perhaps he's son-of-Boris eh? He's very healthy, as he gets all the midges and baby frogs from the pond ..... Do you think we DARE start another voyage? We were a bit close to the mark with some of our ''adventures'' when you compare what has been happening over the last two or three months on here - the nasties might take exception! The thing is, we all knew it was just great fun, and played along, but some people do seem to have some very twisted ''persecution complex'' minds these days - how sad. What do you think? It was me that (inadvertently) started the last one - genuinely done in all innocence - but it just took off - it was amazing and wonderful - just great!!!

I think I'd better stop ashore on my own in the lighthouse. I can play my music at top volume there, and not disturb anyone. I'll look forward to reading 'Captain Slog' when it happens. CB >|<

Just been going through 'My Documents.'Have found the first 11 pages of Desert Island Utopia. That too was a great laugh. David Beard with his Plum Jam. Grandpa Jim the Idle Layabout. We really must start a new adventure. Just to see who will come out of the woodwork. Jenny.

Christina, Thanks for the explanation. Looks as if the maiden voyage was a great success. I'll stand on the quayside till the refit is completed and wait till your vessel emerges from drydock, then I'll wave my flag and cheer as it sets sail. Is the re-launch imminent? CB >|<

Hi again, Much as I enjoyed the Utopia I prefered the original thread when we were on the island already and setting up camp etc. Dorothy, can you remember the title as I've searched for it in vain and I'd love to read it again? Gwynne

Dr. Longlegs just checking. Hope all of you carried on with your vaccinations. All it takes is a little P***k, if you remember. Also the litle pill a lot of you all had to take to keep you off the booze. Its a shame that all my threads were lost when GC lost my membership. When I recalled the threads most are still on GR's server, but mine are not. It is so confusing. But I still have loads of files that were saved on my PC still. Can send some if any of you want them. Dr.Longlegs. Md. Me.

Good evening Admiral and Dr. Legs, Tis been awhile and I do miss you all. I apologize for contradicting the admiral but Boris is here with me where he belongs, sunning himself next to the pool. Think back and I am sure that you will remember that the croc and I made our own way back swimming back to Portugal. Jac the Drac I have not forgotten how you tried to make out that I was a 'looney tune' with a blow up croc and that Boris was a pair of boots on someone's feet. Or was that 'Slutty Jean' who's lice ridden girls would never bring the dirty dishes to the galley? Memory fails me!.... SASSY!!!! I thought that Boris and I had left you stranded on the island, I heard you yelling for me and swam like hell. How you can sign your name as COOK I have no idea. Get with it girl, you are an ASSISTANT COOK with illusions of grandeur. YOU with your fancy dishes would have the larder empty before half the voyage was over: ) Hiya security Dave and everyone else, we did have fun didn't we!? FAT LADY COOK ;-))))))))))

Christina - still reckon you were careless with Johnny - with that very odd vodka swilling school marm, the Black Widow and Slutty Jean about not to mention a syringe-crazy ''Doctor'' on the loose....... CB: I just looked: we all decided to go on this cruise in the middle of August last year - perhaps the long hot summer days got to us .... lol

Ahoy there! Can I just come aboard and ask what you're up to before you set sail? Do you take passengers, or is this a Navy Lark? (Sounds as if it was before my time - on GR, that is.) CB >|<

PMSL Gwynne - my sentiments exactly!! Do as I do and take a walking pair with me!! Yes, I too have loads (!) of shoes like that - ah - vanity!!

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 20 Feb 2005 18:41

Hi Dorothy, How I crave some purple boots. I have several pairs of very high shoes and boots that I can hardly walk in but can't bring myself to part with them. If we are going out for a meal I calculate whether I'll make it from the car park to the table without falling over or being crippled for life. Gwynne

I would think May 6th may be a good day to escape from Britain - and it's my birthday on 7th, so we could start off with a good party!!!

DorothyG

DorothyG Report 20 Feb 2005 18:37

Gwynne I have (really) got some purple Stilletos (from way back and can't bear to part with them - though they're agony to wear!) LOL Christina -Why did you leave him behind - that must have been an oversight, knowing what sort of company you'd left him in! LOL

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 20 Feb 2005 18:31

Ah, Christina, I was sorting out a few cupboards and I think I may have accidentally taken something/one that belongs to you. My apologies. And anyway, Dorothy, I hate pink - but if they were purple boots then I'd have to fight you for them. When shall we have the reunion cruise? Gwynne
