Hi Christine Yes I'm back. Spent the weekend moving daughter into her new flat (5 mins walk from us). Managed to keep the computer and the kitchen sink, she took everything else. I'm being good and getting the decorating done. Aileen

Oh now you are talking Lucia. I used to play badminton for the West of Scotland. Even won a few championship matches. Used to play in a club with all Scottish International players so got really good. One of them went on to win the World Men's Doubles at the Kelvin Hall. Oh happy days. Haven't played for quite a while but can still give them all a run for their money down here. Still have my Carlton 3.7 rackets. Used to get them strung by an old guy in Glasgow. Championship gut and special handles. Aileen

Just had a look. He was born in 1936 in Dodge City, Kansas. No wonder he played so many cowboy roles. He was a cowboy! Humph.

Well I was only joking ;-) I only in a bad mood cos cross country is coming up probably on Thursday...I enjoy it apart from that...and we also have to do country dancing in PE which I like, but it is no fun in PE class, I quite like playing badminton though, Lucia :-)

Pat

Pat Report 8 Mar 2005 00:21

Yeah liked that film too, yeah hang em high forgot that one Aileen. Well I was only saying that Cross Country running was always in the middle of winter the coldest time, but my mates were worse off hiding in the bushes they couldn't get warm even back at school but I (silly mare) ran the whole lot and was warm for the rest of the day, well maybe not so silly then? Pat x

Knew you'd get it eventually Pat. Liked that film. He was in Hang em High with Clint Eastwood I think and he was in a lot of cowboy films. So what's wrong with PE Lucia? It's good for you a bit of exercise.

Pat

Pat Report 8 Mar 2005 00:17

Lucia I loved PE well except swimming wasn't mad on that, the swimming baths we went to were ancient and I mean ancient, cold and by todays standards, well they wouldn't have passed for anyone to swim in. Dennis Hooper has made 100's of films he has had a very long career in films. I think he isn't much younger than my Mum born in the 1930's. Pat x
