Neil, Yes, I worked for them on loads of sites all over this country, Houses, Flats, Factories, even a Steelworks, and a Jetty and Pumping Station in the North Sea

Neil, Back in the 1960s I was working for George Wimpey & Co and they offered me a transfer to Canada. I turned it down because they were not really offering enough in wages to justify me leaving all my family and friends behind. I do sometimes wonder how differently my life would have turned out if I had gone, but there again, I had 6 lovely children and, although one died young, I wouldn't want to not have any of them.

Yes it is Art, I must admit I have yet to go there. There is so much going on here all the time that I usually leave visits to places like that until we get our Summer Visitors. One of the penalties of living in a Holiday destination.

David, You just made me think. That home brew would have lasted me for 4 days when I was about 19 or 20. I was drinking AT LEAST 10 pints a day, 2 or 3 at lunchtime and 7 or 8 every night. Then when I moved to Gosport I never went into a pub for 6 months.
