Can't pull the wool over your eyes can I Arthur. Try this one for size. A man runs to the quayside, performs a death-defying leap and lands safely but painfully on the deck of a ferry. He is very happy, until an impressed stranger asks him a question, whereupon he starts crying. What was the question? Aileen |

Yes Emma, you don't bury survivors. In 1987 a crane collapsed in a residential area of Liverpool at lunchtime. Nobody saw or heard anything. Why not? Aileen |

Being so kind and generous I'll give you an easy one this time. An airplane carrying sixty Mexican lawyers to a convention in Rio, crashed and landed directly on the border between Columbia, Venezuela and Brazil. Under international law, where should the survivors be buried? Aileen |

Knew you'd get there eventually Arthur. What happened was that every night a rival basketball player added half an inch to the post of the mailbox. After a week the player became convinced that he was shrinking. Thinking he might lose his livelihood he committed suicide. The police suspected murder because someone had driven him to it intentionally. That was a bit of a tricky one. Took me about 2 hrs to get that one. Aileen |
