I have only just seen this very sad news. Gaynor, such an inspiration to us all, such a lovely person who i only 'knew' through these boards, so sadly missed. But how lovely that she and her Rob were together so peacefully at the end. may she rest in peace. My condolences to Rob, Jack, claire and all the families. Be strong for each other. love Ann glos |

So very sad to hear that Gaynor has passed away but she will never leave us. She has inspired, loved and been loved by so many people that she will always be a part of everyone who ever knew her, or knew of her. To Rob and all the family I send my deepest sympathies. You have been so brave and so strong for so long. To my dear friend Pink. I love you. I chose the following by Joyce Grenfell for my darling Grandad's funeral last year and somehow it seems very appropriate for Gaynor If I should go before the rest of you, Break not a flower nor inscribe a stone; Nor when I'm gone speak in a Sunday voice, But be the usual selves that I have known. Weep if you must, Parting is hell, But life goes on So sing as well Sue |
