group 5. please can you message e/mail me. We may have a problem! I recieve the bear from Dawn on saturday lunchtime.That is the plan,However , I am struggling with a severe allergic reaction to some insect bites and may not be able to make the pick up (Alan will go in my place if needs be, so thats okay) I need to speak to Tracy (Rushden) asap as to a handover place/point. Tracy You are wonderful. I feel such a twit! Dawn is bringing her to me on saturday at 12 noon at the Thorplands Toby Inn. Round spinney roundabout 12 noon if you fancy popping over, and you can take her on then with you if its easier - at least i'll get a hold! Otherwise Alan says we could bring me and her over Tuesday lunchtime. Needle and Awl? Only because I know where it is!! Jess

I have had a lovely time with GB. We went to school every day and she did PE, in a nice pair of school shorts! The highlight was on Wednesday with the Pink Cake Sale, myself and other staff made cakes and decorated them with pink icing to sell to the kids. We raised THIRTY EIGHT POUNDS, which for a little rural school is fantastic. The children said goodbye sadly to Gaynor Bear, they are expecting to see her again, Bless. Just got back from handing her over at Nuneaton Fire Station, to Dawn. We had our photo taken with the firemen, by the local paper. I tried hard to look gorgeous, but GB upstaged me! Iz x

Hello Gaynor Bear here, I'm having a litle rest now after a hectic day. Iz took me to Nuneaton fire staion to meet Dawn and the firemen. We had our picture taken but they made me sit in a firemans helmet (I was good and didn't perform in it). After I said goodbye to Iz I went to the hairdressers as the rain plays havoc with my fur. Had these funny roller things pinned to my head and had to sit under a dryer. Felt a little peckish so after a stop at the Museum to pick up a postcard went with Dawn and Zoe to Sainsburys for doughnuts. Had a little ride in the car (its got a banner in the back about the relay team) and then went to meet Nathan from School. They have a Dragonfly at the front of the school which I took a ride on boy is it high. Am off to meet Jess tomorrow but for the timebeing I am enjoying chatting with Dawns children and catching up with three of my babies, apparently they have been quite mischievious. Gaynor Bear

Liz, Fen Tiger should hopefully know when she is due to get her from Bob. We are only a small group..erm... 3 in total!... so shouldn't be long. I pass to Tracy on Tue,the others (both of them) have arranged hand overs between themselves. jess

Strapped Gb into the car today and took her to meet Jess and Jenny. GB is now safely!!!! with Jess although am a bit worried as she tried to put her in the dogcage in the back of her car. Jenny was having none of it and she was safely strapped in the back of the car. Group 4 now finished yipee well done all of you. Jess thanks for guiding me back to the M1 Dawn

Blimey Dawn, You Got home quickly! With all the hilarity in the pub GB is a bit worn out..having a doze at the moment. I've told her if she undoes the seatbelt agian in the car she WILL have to go in Bobbins cage.She says she was only trying to wave to Dawn as she sped off up the M1. Good day, thanks jess x

Jess Must of been getting rid of the banner and the extra load of GBs bag made me go faster, had a toilet stop as well and a call from hubby while I was stopped. Perhaps I should change name to speedy gonzalas, and I'm the slow driver in our family only got one speeding ticket!!! Have fun with her I know your a big kid at heart. Dawn

Calling Group 4. Many thanks for all your help in the Relay. You have all done great. I hope you have all enjoyed yourelves. Groups 5,6,& 7. I am hoping to get Gaynor Bear to Group 8 at the very begining of September. Can you all let me know how your plans are going, and update me on names, where you live and what route you are taking. Hi Jenny Have emailed all of Group 6 who are hopefully ready and raring to go. HINT, HINT! Just waiting to hear when Bob hopes to hand over to Julie as we are trying to avoid running into too many holiday dates. Hope to rattle her through Group 6 pretty quickly so unless 7 are planning to keep her forever, September will be no problem for London. Daisy

Sorry Jenny. I thought that info was on the thread earlier. 12.30 at the Needle and awl in Thrapson. Will add the times/ locations for the other two handovers when i get back. Any decision as to what you want me to hang on to from the bag to return to you? It is getting heavy and is, in my opinion, full to capasity. Things contained in it are getting spoilled , which seems such a shame. I have embroidered GB a new sash- will enclose old one ,of course, (the transfer lettering is peeling off).Same colours size and everything, including sequins, just an embroidered replication. Jess
