That about sums it up Joy. Its not always done with any intent other than to bring a thread up to the top, though sometimes in mischief and more rarely with malice aforethought. |

hi ,if ya read back teresa and i were having a chin wag about phantom nudgers,teresa dont mind em too much ,i dont like it at all.its when someone nudges a thread up,then removes there reply,so you dont know whose done it. have i got that right teresa.lol.xxxxxxxxx |

Joy rest assured we ALL get upset if a bad thread is nudged, because that could ONLY be done out of malice. Most are naive nudges though....some nudge then remove because its a pointless post in itself, they just wanted the thread back up again. Seen that plenty of times. |

i suppose its each to there own really,i was asked when i first joined genes,did i want to learn how to nudge,i refused as it seems pointless. and if anyone nudges a bad thread i get well angry. i like things up front in life ,so thats probably why i dont like phantom nudging.xxxxxxxx |

Thats fair enough Joy. Personally, I don't see what the problem is. Plenty of us on here have had threads phantom nudged from time to time and said nothing at all. Me included! When a nasty thread gets nudged as sometimes happens, then that becomes a problem. I wouldnt do that, and I know the majority on these boards wouldn't either. |

sorry teresa unless the phantom nudge is done like on muffys thread,i dont like em,call em what you like there not nice. i cant understand why someone would,nt put just nudge. then theres no malice and no mischief.xxxxxxxxxxxx |

Joy, it was mischief rather than malice, and I owned up to it once the thread owner gathered enough courage to actually name me outright (next day). No harm was done to children or animals in the making of that nudge. It wans't a nasty thread I nudged up either, now THAT would have been nasty. However, i'm just having a bit of fun now, nothing nasty. Just offering Rose anyone of my threads to practise her phantom nudge on, cos I wont get upset about it. All for a laugh. |
