Settles down in armchair with glass of chilled wine and mobile. Ok then, baby settled, the boys are watching TV, so now I can ring Bruce. Dials number. Oh good it's ringing. BLAST!. 'You have reached the voice mail of ........' Hate the damn voice mail thing. Ah, well he must be in a meeting. Never mind. I'll leave a message. Hi Bruce, it's me babes. Gosh, I really wanted to speak to you. Never mind. Just wondered when you might be coming home. The boys miss you and so do I come to that. I'm really sorry about the silly misunderstanding the other week. Silly me, getting the wrong end of the stick, thinking you had another woman when she's your landlady. Really, how stupid am I! I haven't made it up to you yet! So, when are you likely to be home again. Oh, the school rang. They'd like to see us both about the twins. The secretary says that Wayne and Dwain have been up to something. She was really nasty, saying the twins are well out of control, but what would one expected with a father like theirs. You're always so suspicious of him and his work. He does work really hard and I know he's away such a lot of the time. But the money is really good. Especially when we have six little Bruce to feed and cloth. But what I can't understand is why they pay him in cash. Fifty pound notes do cause raised eyebrows at Asda when I do the weekly shop. When's he home again? Oh, don't really know. I suppose I could give a ring on the mobile tonight and asked. Oh, I tell you who I saw the other day. Sam, you remember him, went off to be a fireman.
