Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 15 Sep 2008 06:18

I hate to do this Liz, but there is a show on TV that I've been waiting for a week to see. A documentary on the WTC Sep 11/01.
I'll try to nudge this-or others can on a daily basis.
Have a good sleep, and maybe I'll catch you tomorrow night.

Deb

No problem Deb. I watched something similar the other night. The 9/11 faker. Fascinating but sick and horrifying that someone could be so utterly shallow as to do such a horrible thing.

You watch your programme. Don't feel bad. I will pop back on here when i can, hopefully tomorrow.

Been a pleasure talking to you.
Take care
Liz. x

Hi Purple Liz, the night owl here lol Got up an hour ago.

Thanks for nudging this Deb, I missed you by about ten minutes!!
We don't seem to 'see' each other so much now, do we? Hope you are ok.

Hi to Elizabeth k.a. Liz

I watched that 9/11 the Faker programme and it was interesting. Shame she couldn't have just done all the good things she did without the lies, but then I suppose the people in the group wouldn't have related to her in the same way, if they had known she hadn't gone through the same as them, so the group which got so much done thanks to her and helped so many people, wouldn't have been in existence. Hmmmm! You have to feel a bit sad for her in a way, she is obviously unwell.

Might catch some of you later tonight lol

Hi Purple Liz.

I agree with what you say about that 9/11 faker. She did do alot of good for the survivors, but the betrayal they must have felt after they found out she was a liar must have been awful.

How could anyone lie that convincingly for that long?

I was in the forces at the time of 9/11. I went out to Afghanistan shortly after the Americans bombed it, however my personal opinion from having been there is that 9/11 was NOT a terrorist attack.

So a thought/debating topic for you.....

What do you all think about 9/11???

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 16 Sep 2008 03:55

Well that's an interesting opinion - not a terrorist attack?

Not something I can think about at the mo, my head is too woolly for deep thought.

Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 20 Sep 2008 04:25

Hi Liz, we meet at last :)

Not too bad thanks. I'm still not back at work. I last worked May 5th, but getting better slowly.
I must say, I get bored most days.

The weather has been great here (except for today) so I've spent many hours in the back yard reading.

I really should get back to my tree, but we are in the middle of renovating and I have all my FT stuff packed away in boxes. I want this office (the last place in th house to be renovated) to be done before our daughter gets back in October.

All it needs is the carpet ripped out, a new floor put down, the walls painted, molding installed and the door painted. Surely he can get that done in three weeks :)))

How are you Liz?

Deb

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 20 Sep 2008 05:01

I'm much the same Deb, a bit fatter, if you look on the evening news 24 norwich site for a school reunion picture you will see me, fair fat and over sixty lol Situation the same as before, can't find the energy to declutter at my house yet.

Hope you get your office fixed up soon, o.h. started doing his bathroom last November, shower still only half fixed in, tiling half done and ungrouted and no idea what he wants to do on the rest of the walls or floor, no bath panel as he broke the plastic one that came with the suite and he still has to decide on lighting too lol He has 4 days booked in Oct to do some more but his son is due home from America on 4th Oct so he will probably spend time with him, helping him find somewhere to live as his Mum has had enough of him. He went off owing thousands and the bailiffs have been to her home while he has been away etc etc. O.h. says he is my son, I have to help him, but the longer he keeps bailing him out the more mess he will get in and the other son is getting fed up seeing his father help this son so much. Heyho, happy families lol
Glad you are getting better slowly and hope you will find something to alleviate the boredom a bit.
Catch up with you again soon, I must get to bed, it is 5am here.
take care,
love
Lizxx

Just popping in to say hope you are ok, Liz, after the ordeal today or, rather, yesterday.

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 24 Sep 2008 01:46

Thanks Joy, it wasn't as upsetting as I expected really, as my friend who drove me there said, we said our goodbyes in our minds at the end of August when Liz died, so three weeks on it seemed a bit wierd really, there were a few tears from some people in her family but nothing desperately sad. The get together afterwards was very nice and I got to catch up with several members of her family I hadn't seen for a long time. My friend from Germany is over here with her hubby and they came as they knew Liz through me as did my friend who picked me up so we spent time together which was nice.
We will all have our own memories of Liz to think back on and enjoy.
Thanks again for your kind thoughts, Joy.
