There are obviously some very sad and nasty people around. I joined GR in Feb and am not on very often due to work, I read threads who'se titles appeal to me, I don't put in many replies but prefer to read others (my hubby calls me a people watcher). I wasn't aware of the cliques or bullying probably due to not being on much. If a thread becomes nasty and personal why arn't all the people involved suspended or does it just apply to the person whose thread it is????? We are all entitled to our opinions but that does not give us the right to dis-respect the opinion of others. I will however be very careful in future as to who or what I reply to. Beve

Hi Bendy First can I say I've always like you! lol I've been a member since March '03 and I have only recently become aware of the things that go on on MSN. I think what has happened to Louise is terrible. And if Mike was a victim of the same sort of thing then he should be reinstated, or the other party suspended too. I only talk privately with a handful of members on here and that's because we have something in common such as sense of humour or location. And that's the way I like it! I appreciate you can't name and shame because of what has gone before, so we'll all have to be more careful in future about who we choose to talk to. Jeanette x

I have only just come back to GR after a while away. I read more than I add. I can't believe what I am reading on this thread. I hardly have enough time to spend the time on here that I do, or remember what I have written. Let alone have two personalties on the go. There are some strange people about, they obviouly need a bit more excitment in their lives. Rebecca

We'll all be becoming neuorotic soon.....won't to say anything in case it offends. Won't talk to anyone in case they are in some group or other...won't post anything in case no one answers...the board will be silent!!!! Perhaps that is what we should do see how GR like that but they why should they care we've paid...they have the money and become lonely again..... Jacquie xxx

Wendy, Another enlightening thread, thank you. I have replied to Maz's thread now I feel I should reply to yours. I have to be honest and say that, before you were suspended I found you difficult to talk to, since your return I have found I like you (no I don't understand either maybe you were too forthright for me before). You have some really sensible views and a great sense of humour. I too feel I must state that I do not belong to any clique, i respond to lots of threads but don't have the time to join in the long threads like Chatson, although I may read occasionally. I do have a sense of humour which is not always the same as some of the threads on here, but those I just ignore (with all different age groups our humour is bound to be different). I also have to add i really am a 'little old lady' of nearly 65 (ask Mags, Sally, Mandy in Somerset they will confirm this). I do correspond off the boards with one or two others and message some via the boards but none of those I correspond with stir up trouble, we just have other things in common. I do hope that this all clears the air and we can get bck to chatting pleasantly again. and if she is still a member, do ask Lou Sharp to come back, nobody should be forced out. strange how the perpetrators don't come on these threads. By process of elimination it should be possible to guess. But I would advise against that because we could jump to the wrong conclusions. Hugs ((())) Ann Glos

Wow, what an eye opener. I only joined GR in March 05, did'nt come onto threads for ages, used to look through at first. Then I needed help to trace someone, all very helpful, and I have helped when I can, other than that do not really talk to anyone from GR. I have MSN but only use it to talk to my grandaughter every night. Who are the ones with multiple logins? I realise you cannot name them. Anita

Hi Wendy, I have a confession to make and would like to make it before I go on. I would have seen you in the same light as Gwynne has said, I couldn't make you out at all, but since you have returned here to GR I find I agree with many things you say and we seem to have similiar views on lots of other things. I have been fortunate in having off board contact with some of the nicest people from these boards. I won't name them as some I feel close to and would class them as friends, others I only have infrequent contact with but still would class them as board mates. Most have been great & have been support to me especially recently as I have been so restricted. But here we go again, someone being used by someone, I know how that feels, oh yes it seems to happen a lot here. I am fuming that Lou has been used as a fall guy for a sad lot of individuals. I am once again very annoyed that a member of this board has left over other members, I don't care how many times Lou has removed herself its her business if and when she wants to come & go, she pays her money just like us, she has the right to do what she will with her membership she's paying we are not. BUT For anyone to be driven off here well thats another matter, its a disgrace and NO one here as the right to do that to anyone else. There are so many members who have left here due to the treatment that was dished out to them. Who thinks they are above us all, who thinks they are better, cleverer or more important than other members? none of us are in anyway more important. We all get on with people for different reasons, but if you don't then why can't people just live and let live, if you do not like someone just ignore them, if you can't do that well YOU leave here then. If people have two log ins how can this happen? and how can we get it sorted out? Wish we could be told who these people are. Pat x PS CB I will definitely talk to you anytime, as long as you leave the meths alone that is lol..

Oh well, now I've been rumbled, I might as well own up - Gwynne and I are a 'clique', as long as nobody mentions politics! Shoes - Oui! Politics - NON!!! LoL Apart from Benders, with whom I form another very exclusive 'clique' , hardly anybody else from GR talks to me these days, but I WISH THEY WOULD - ESPECIALLY THE LONDON GB RELAY GROUP, to whom I'd like to say HELL-O!!! WE GET GB IN SEPTEMBER - SO BE PREPARED AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE ON HOLS THEN. CB >|< (Sorry W, need to take every opportunity to communicate with them!)

ஐ+*¨^¨*+e+*¨^¨*+ஐ Mildred Honkinbottom Report 2 Jun 2005 12:34

I feel quite disturbed by this thread. I and others that I talk to on here have all been labelled as being in a Clique. We were all named on a thread last year in fact. It upset most of us and caused bad feeling. I am NOT in a Clique, have never been in a Clique, and dont want to be part of a Clique. I have my own decisions and do not need someone to hold my hand whilst i am doing so. Just because I talk to some on here more than others doesnt mean im in some sort of gang. I also wish to point out that many of us on the < pinny gang > thread have alter egos. we have characters which portray the older generation. We are not pretending to be someone who we are not ,to cause trouble. Having multiple log ins is against terms and conditions, and I suggest you contact Gr with your findings. Elaine x

I have to say, I'd quite like to know who the person or person using multiple logins was/is too, just so I know to be cautious, but I understand why you can't name names. How about a hint ? An anagram ? lol

I've never used MSN and, to be honest, it's not really my cup of tea (also I would probably end up spending far too much time on the PC!) but I'm quite appalled (and sad) that this sort of thing goes on. I don't like the thought of 'gossiping' behind the scenes about GR members, frankly I've worked in enough places where gossip was rife, and I come on here for family research, help with rellie hunting, and a bit of light relief!
