Felix the cat would be great, thank you Rebs. Remind me of what I'm missing. Lunar, honey, I have to depart to my bed now so you have a really good summer. Pop into the library occasionally and leave us a message so we know you are OK, and we shall all look foward to seeing your shining countenance again come September. Farewell for the summer, oh celestial highness. Night everyone. Where shall I look for you tomorrow. Will the leaving party still be carrying on? |

Most appropriate, Plum. Do you want to know, though, that our best loved cat was called Plum, short for Plumstead? So called because sold as a male by a pet shop boy who couldn't sex cats. The kitten found its way straight to our hearts, so we had to chose a name that was, shall I say, ambidexterous? |

Tabitha that all looks so delishous but even to try a crumb of each I will explode! Helen, I'm off home for the summer, I usually access the internet from the halls at uni but my parents don't have the internet so I'm offline until Septembre unless I can get to the library to borrow their computers |

Thank you so much Tabby. I don't feel very cat-like with no fur and have been looking for a new name to tide me over until I can once more hold my feline head up high. Your suggestion was very timely. Also it will confuse GR no end when they apply for the ASBO. |

Lunar We're really going to miss your help and advice on tips (and your knowledge of cocktails!) The thought is really depressing. I personally want to get blotto, but, stiff upper lip, here is the Dessert menu: Strawberry and orange cake (fresh straeberries marinaded in orange and brandy. Half the juice soks the sponge layers, the rest flavours the double cream that smothers the cake) Plum and Almond Tart Crisp pastrey shell, filled with a sponge mixture containing real ground almonds, and topped with the best plums Peach Pudding Cake Okay, this is the disaster that no one wants to touch, but it's glazed with brown sugar and cinnamon and if there's any left over, it's very good cold Pompadour's Ribbons Spectacular apricot and cream layered dessert. Secret recipe. Elderflower Jelly Looks pretty, with the elderflowers suspended in it. Contains a kick for closet drinkers. And a huge cheeseboard. Enjoy. |

a little drop of Murphys to singalong to this:- :-) When Irish eyes are smiling Sure it's like a morning spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter, You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, they steal your heart away. There's a tear in your eye, and I'm wondering why, For it never should be there at all. With such power in your smile, sure a stone you'd beguile, So there's never a teardrop should fall. When your sweet lilting laughter's like some fairy song, And your eyes twinkle bright as can be, You should laugh all the while and all other times smile, And now smile a smile for me. Chorus: When Irish eyes are smiling Sure it's like a morning spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter, You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, they steal your heart away. |

Excellent choice Tina, and, as always, elegantly modelled. Probably best not to wear the hood in the light of recent unrest. GR may ask you to leave or apply for an ASBO ;) |

Who was it said that we should be on the General Board because we were all on broadband, and moving between boards was just a click? Office broadband is just as slow as home dial up, and tonight it's terminal. |

Lunar Just popped in quickly to toast your health and wish you all the very best. Take care until we 'meet' again. Keith I posted to a thread on this Board earlier on in the hope of attracting some constructive dialogue. I think it was called Trouble at Mill. Anyone know what happened to it? |
