Good Morrow Mrs Merlin, I don't mind if I do try a drop of that nectar ye are offering the portly friar replied and promptly emptied the can of guiness he was holding before reaching for the proffered brew.

Tuck!!! A man of the Cloth is welcome here. I am no heathen. But you must contribute more than gluttony my friend. Give reference to your true worth !!!!!!!

(Puff of Pink Smoke etc) Friar - Put that guiness can down - ye Gods, - it is a potion of the FUTURE! It may turn thee into a footballe hooligane, or worse! Here - I offer thee a dram of my J.D. and Cokee. (Fresh from me punch bowl)

The friar stirs from where he has been sleeping against the bole of a large oak tree. He smells the aroma of roast venison wafting in the morning breeze and climbs to his feet to go in search of a morsel or two (or more) of this feast. He enters a large clearing where the embers of a fire are still glowing dimly and all around are the still forms of sleeping people (some of whom he recognises) and a small mountainof metallic objects. He picks up one of these objects - sniffs the opening and is surprised to find that it smells of beer - whence have these strange objects come from? he muses as he starts looking for a full one. He finds a box marked 'guiness cans' and opens one and quaffs deeply of its contents - 'excellent brew' he quoths and picks up the box, helps himself to a hind leg of venison and repairs to a large tree to partake of this feast until the others arise from their slumbers. Allan You are true and loyal. I will share my blood with you. Joy/Bev You may yet receive your wish for all to be revealed. But first, there is some reckoning that I may call upon beforehand. Until the morrow my fair Ladies!!!

Ah, Scarlet Willy, that offer telleth me much of your loyalty and bravery. However, I am not a cruel master and wouldst not wish you to suffocate from noxious fumes during the night. This has indeed been an arduous day and I have walked, not to mention flown, many a long mile without the opportunity to rinse away the dust. I would sleep as far away from my feet as you possibly can. I too must needs rest for who knows what dangers the morrow may bring. Good night, good sirs, and rest thee well.

Chorus Robin Hood, Robin Hood, riding through the glen Robin Hood, Robin Hood, with his band of men Feared by the bad, loved by the good Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood He called the greatest archers to a tavern on the green They vowed to help the people of the king They handled all the troubles on the English country scene And still found plenty of time to sing Chorus He came to Sherwood Forest with a feather in his cap A fighter never looking for a fight His bow was always ready, and he kept his arrows sharp. He used them to fight for what was right. Chorus With Friar Tuck and Little John they had a roguish look, They did the deed the others wouldn't dare. He captured all the money that the evil sheriff took, And rescued many a lady fair. Chorus He came to Sherwood Forest with a feather in his cap A fighter never looking for a fight His bow was always ready and he kept his arrows sharp He used them to fight for what was right Chorus

My lady Joy I fear you ask too great a favour of brave Robin. Were he to be caught flashing in the greenwood by the evil Sheriff GrumpyRules, he would doubtless be executed forthwith. 'Tis not a fate his friends would wish on him.

Bev Report 11 Jun 2005 23:45

TinaTheCheshirePussyCat

TinaTheCheshirePussyCat Report 11 Jun 2005 23:41

My lady Joy Thou needest not have fear of brave Robin. He may be here in the greenwood in the guise of an outlaw, but he is a true and gentille knight. My lady Bev Ah, poor soul, I can tell by thy colour that you have toiled many a long hour in the fields for the Lord of the Manor. Take thy rest on this grassy knoll and have a chunk of venison. I regret that Friar Tuck is not with us at present. Doubtless he has been called away to the deathbed of some expiring peasant. He will return, I doubt not. In the meantime, there is some potion left in this cauldron. I cannot, however, speak as to the effects it may produce.

Bev
