Hi Bec I saw all the people pouring to the concert so guess it was a success , I went to what we call a cent sale yeterday we buy books of tickets as I did for ten dollars 50cents a sheet 10 tickets same number you then tear them off and put your tickets into boxes of the prizes you would like to win hundred and fifty altogether ranging from 600 dollar barbeque to childrens bikes and dvd players printers , etc it was a small town catrholic ladies effort for one of their local priests who is in Rwanda and the main aim was to enable all the children in the orphanage to have just one egg a week , so it certainly puts your troubles in perspective when you hear this , a lot of the children are orphans their parents were killed in the genocide there so I hope the Live 8 concert raised heaps for them all the that are so in need over there Love Lara

What a fantastic event! A triumph for Geldof, and surely a huge money-spinner for the neediest cause in the world. I didn't see it all but was disappointed at the peformances given by some 'stars'. Those that impressed me most were Madonna, Joss Stone, Pink Floyd and by far the best of all - The Who - still just as briliant as their early days in the 60s. Pete Townshend's guitar work was incredible, as ever. Good to see a clip of Stevie Wonder in action in the States. I'd have loved to see his entire performance. ... and 3 cheers for Peter Kay for keeping up the momentum during what was obviously a tricky fill-in job! LoL CB >|<

I totally agree with CB. The Who were fantastic. Pete Townsend was brilliant. I thought they were the best on the show. I wasnt expecting them to be because if I remember at LiveAid they weren't too good. I don't think that bit is on the DVD even. Margaret
