hi mike, i have met buttercup several times... it would have been more, but i live in yorks, she lives in london. i have 3 kids, so its when we can arrange to meet. i have stayed at her place for a few day... and had a brilliant time. i have met jen 3 or 4 times, we stayed in an hotel together to save trailing back home, we got p'd as ferrets.... and had a ball !! and a bloody awfull hangover too. denise i have met about 4 times...... sue/ otley a few times. she and paul a few times............ in fact , thinking about it, i have met quite a lot of peeps from here... sorry, cannot name you all, would take too long, lol. soooooooooooooo i am not talkng about 'cyber' thingies, i am talking about people. hubby is ok about it, so long as i meet people for the first time in a group, he knows i am sensible [ahem !] he would never tell me not to do whatever, cos he knows i would then do it twice, lol. so mike, i do know what i am talking about. some people you meet 'and click with' , maybe i have been lucky, but i have met some lovely people from here. i would recomend everyone to go to a meet... it is so nice to put a face to a name ! sue. x

Mike - Daddy would get me out! My point is many of my 'cyber' friends are now my 'real cyber' friends, I know for a fact I will meet Anne and Sheila soon and then they will progress from being 'cyber' friends to 'real cyber' friends! becx

Karen - :-) Mike - It may seem hard to feel close/be GOOD friends with someone we've never met but it can happen. Two of my closest confidantes in life (Anne in Kent and Sheila) I have never met yet we are as close as I am to many of my 'real' friends. Sometimes closer relationships can be formed without the need to see or be around someone. It's what they contribute to your life not how many times you've seen them in person that matters. love becx

Sue, Sorry, but are you talking real or cyber world??? I feel very uneasy when people talk my best mates etc --- and they've never met! Ok you go she's lovely --- how do you know?? how do you even know she is a she?? How can you have a 'best mate' you've never met?? We are all adults, hopefully, and warn kids of sites --- but you trust what your 'best' mate tells you? even though you never met? I know what you're gonna say shes lovely???She's nice?? ???? I will reply to you mike.... I have a real life to live and i do wish to enhance my relationship with my exhubby/ new boyfriend!!! Thats where my real life lies..... he asked me not to go and gave good reasons..... when i insisted he then TOLD me not to go!!! So do i risk a real life relationship for a cyber one???? Would anyone??? I really shouldnt have to justify myself but as so many things i say get taken out of context, then maybe i should justify what i have said. Okay hubby may have felt threatened.... but who wouldnt!! Karen

I agree that the internet can be a dangerous place and we should all be very careful. However... I have met many people from this site and have made some BEST friends through it so as long as your safe it can be a very worthwhile risk! love becx

True friends never can fall out.. whether it be cyber or for life!! Thats what friendship is all about .... the good and the bad!! True friends will rejoice in the good and support the bad times!!! thats how we sift them out!!! Karen
