Ive been to both the spiritulist church and to see mediums privatly. From my experience's of both I would say that the spirtulist church has been far more convincing than seeing some of the mediums that work from thier homes. And from all of them I would say only two have been completly and totally acurate in what they have told me, one of them told me things, that no way would she have been able to guess at. Im very wary of the ones who ask lots of questions, and I give very, very little information, to try and prevent them taking a stab in the dark, and getting what they think I want to hear. I also belive in ghost's. I have seen far to much not to. |

Elaine I asked fair questions. As you will have noticed no one answered them. That speaks a lot doesn't it? I am not on a witch hunt as your replies seem to suggest. I simply replied to a thread and gave my opinion on the subject. I was not aware of the sensitivity of the original question. Annexx |

Anne , you asked how the psychic knew about me . Well , I don`t know -she had never met me before-just picked my name , out of a bowl, from all of us that were there. But what she said was true and she mimics people too -her facial expressions are spot on. She described people to me and told me where my daughter worked. Rosalyn |

Dave please do not be so condescending! No not really Anne and they dont go in to it much either the younger girl is especially so and has to 'zip up' because she often feels and see's relatives she seen my Dad and my wifes Dad and can sense other beings as well, she could do it at a Spiritual church but chooses not to! Dave As you can see you did not actually answer the question! Annexx -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Who said witch hunt ? I never said you were on a witch hunt. But the quote suggests that we that believe are doing the devils work. I wouldnt have dreamed to put something like that about christian people (such as the words bible bashers or the like ) (no Im only using those words as an example I have every respect for your religion) Now I must fly (not on me broomstick ) as Im not going to get drawn in anymore Anne May you continue to find comfort in your religion, but cease to be afraid of others and their beliefs. Im not being condescending Anne it is you changing good thread into religious argument! Why dont you start Bible thread? And do you believe my children are telling lies to me Anne and making it up? Because you are insisting that your views are correct because your reading of the bible says so even though you said earlier that anyone can quote the bible to suit their own words? Davex |

Elaine my religious beliefs never came into this discussion until I was pushed to say why I did not believe in mediums. I do not judge or discriminate against any other persons belief. Let's live and let live! Annexx |

Dave I came onto this thread and gave my opinion as a fully paid up member is entitled to. Do you have a problem with that? Annexx |

Of course not Anne but why have you gone away from the question asked to make it religious one,I respect your views and your right to have them even though I dont agree with you. But I ask you once again do you think my children are lying to me and they cant see things? Dave |

Hi all I'm sorry but I beleive this pychic lark is really a load of bull****. I have visited psychics and have also listened to sceptics point of view (of which I am one) I can not believe how general they are and when they get it right someone showed me how they got t the answer. Being in touch with loved one's comes from within not psychics at all. Anyway had far too much red wine this evening but find this topic fascinating so probably shouldn't say much more. Ciao (sorry married to an Italian) for now Karen Ps We shouldn't argue about this!! Some believe some don't respect everyone's views (even if I think they're wrong Anne). |

well i think some are not too good but some can be spot on. I have only been once, to see a lady that could read auras. I was sat next to my sister - we are chalk and cheese, 1 plump, brown hair the other very tall, slim and blonde(B---h!)(lol). Anyway this lady came to us and knew we are sisters. She told us things about our mums house. Weird but amazing too. I loved it. |

Dave At the risk of repeating myself i say once again to you, I beleive in live and let live. If your children tell you what they see and you believe them, that's fine. Please don't expect me to believe what you tell me. This is the whole point of this thread. Everyone can give their beliefs and disbeliefs. I have not, as you said, expected everyone to beleive what I do. i simply added my opinon to the thread. Annexx |

Hi Y'all Tis not good to all be arguing like this, tis too big a subject for this thread but, I beleive there is no afterlife and that is that, the whole reason for religion is to make this fact of dying more bearable for the human race. Psychics make money out of this need. Still had too much red wine but reading with interest. Karen |

<Zooms in on broomstick> Your opinion Anne we diddnt mind Your preaching of the bible is what wasnt nice. many people wrote the bible thousands of years ago, It has been reproduced many times. People were stoned to death thousands of years ago, and people were crucified. Many innocent people were burned ( murdered) on the stake. Slapping down referances from a book that old has no bearing on todays life. Elaine x |

Sorry Anne - I wasn't being condescending but a bit doubting. Many of us - whether religious or not - try to follow the basic teachings of the Bible, such as do unto others etc. What I have difficulty understanding is how anyone can live their life by all the many many rules that are laid out in the Bible when some of them contradict each other - such as Leviticus stating that a man can not marry his brother's widow and Deuteronomy instructing a man to marry his brother's widow and to have children in his brother's name. Which do you do? You can't do both so no-one can live their life exactly by the word. This is what I meant. By the way, in Leviticus, God tells Moses that 'A man or a woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.' 20:27. Do you advocate that? David |
