I have to stop reading this thread. I'm sitting here going Oh ofcourse, how could I forget, gosh yes, ooh loved that. Getting more sad by the minute. Highway to Heaven, Little House on the Prairie, what was the name of the Jayne Seymour series where she was a female Dr out West. I don't think it would stand up today but does anyone else remember, Meet The Huggets? We were one of the first in our street to get TV in 1952 & the neighbours used to come in to watch. How about The Quatermass Experiment, I wasn't allowed to watch but I would peer through the door behind their backs. Thanks for the names Andy, I can remember faces well enough but names often escape me. Vivienne

Midlands

Midlands Report 9 Aug 2005 10:05

I certainly remember Tugboat Annie - our family name is Brennan! Also remembered, 'Fury' - about a black horse; RinTinTin; the Lotte Reiniger 'shadow' fairy tales; Singing-ringing-tree - gloriously spoofed on the Fast Show. There was also nothing worse during a rainy summer holiday than 'Robinson Crusoe' with its dreary theme tune and subtitles! The original Basil Brush was brilliant! Happy days!

Andy If you watch UKGold at about 4.30am (don't ask!) you can see the A Team. Bet you'll get up early tomorrow especially! LOL Wagon Train - I always fancied being a pioneer, especially with Robert Horton! Cheyanne Alias Smith and Jones Bronco Petrocelli - anyone else remember that? Sue xx

Andy

Andy Report 9 Aug 2005 09:11

The thing about the A-Team was (IMO) that it was gloriously rubbish, which is why I liked it. Haven't seen it in years, so there is the chance that if I saw it now, I may be disappointed.
