walking down the lane, with a basket, picking blackberries...one for me,two for the basket lol. going to chapel on a sunday, knowing if i was good,i would get a mint to suck during the sermon. looking down to the rhondda valley at night, and seeing thousands of street lights in the distance. and the best memory...seeing a steam train puffing away, knowing it's got my rellies on board, coming home from the pits...and the thought, that my gran would be putting the chip pan on lol bryan.

Ooh Kay & Gwyneth we must be the same age LOL I'd forgotten about the American Tan stockings from the market - you were very lucky to get two the same size in the pack! I had a shocking pink circular skirt that Mum & I made from a complete circle of material. I wore layers and layers of paper nylon and net petticoats underneath and though I looked fantastic in my white stillettos! LOL Did you lift the record changing arm on your Dansette so that the same record played over and over again automatically? My Dad threatened to 'throw it out of the window unless I stopped that infernal noise'. Still sounded better than the 'rubbish' my kids played on their boom boxes! LOL Sue xx

Those horrible brushed nylon sheets on the bed. You either got a static shock from them or got your toenails caught in them. Thank goodness they are in the past!!! Dianne xx
