hiya girls . pat you were a rocker i take it. so was i. but moter bikes scared me to death lol . a neighbour has just bought a harley davidson (what a beast but lovely to look at) it set him back £10-000. wish i could get away with hot pants and white pvc knee leangh boots these days , but no way x |

Hi San, went to every rock concert that I cud, wore skin tight jeans with leather boots up to the thigh, leather motor bike jacket with badges all over, read hells angels books and went to any motor racing meeting that involved Barry Sheene and Mick Grant!! Married the guy responsable for getting me involved in the first place and am still with him, just abit different now... responsible, hard workin,.. etc ,etc how things change.......................! |

Getting our first telly, black and white of course! Wearing a long dress to our primary school leaving party (yes, they were the fashion!). Brut aftershave. Bay City Rollers and Donny Osmond. The 'Corona' man (lemonade in spotty glass bottles). Oyster shell ice creams. Telephones with dials! Mandy :) |

hiya sylvia those coal fires, if you sat to close to them you got fire marks lol. when we had a coal fire when we first wed. it was all new to me cos my mam was the fire beater at home. so if the fire did not light first time for me , i threw a load of sugar on it and whoosssssssss it looked like i was sending smoke signals from the chimney, but ay ho it was lit lol x |

Yes, isn't it lovely to reminisce? I remember sitting by the open coal fire, burning my legs in front and my back was freezing. We used to listen to the radio 'Dick Barton, special agent' which was quite thrilling. Also Mrs Dales Diary and not to forget the horse racing and football on a Saturday. That is if the accumulator didn't run out from the radio. It was my job to take the accumulator and have it charged when it ran out. Knitted swimming costumes which fell to your knees when you went into the water. Black stockings and lace up shoes. The rag and bone man. Most of the things that I remember have already been said. hiya al , tony ahhhhhhhhhhh thats nice. jacqie lol . i still use a prop. cucumber and onions, in vinager. is lovely with potato ash. it gets your juices going, sasparella , yes those bottles made lovely hot water bottles, but had to be carefull they did not roll out of the bed, cos it would have woke the neighbours up lol x |
