I have the cardington PR fiche, but it stops at 1812 lol I did a quick look on Familysearch and found John Huckles from around that time (give or take a year or two) from Shillington and Biggleswade but not Cardington. Neither is that far away though - Biggleswade is only a few miles.

1871 it says bedfordshire town unknown to be honest have just really started on this side of family - havent traced parents yet

Have you traced his parents ? I notice on the 1861 it says he's born 'Bedfordshire' (that narrows it down eh ?)

Paul My John although brn bedford married catharine partridge in kenington in 1835 they had 12 kids most seem brn lambeth emily catherine harriet lucy mary John eliza elizabeth isabella james ann susannah

Jan, My link is Mary Huckle b.1789, in Cardington, she married Thomas Smith. Her parents were George Huckle and Mary Summerfield. I've followed that line back about 5 more generations. All in Cardington. Looks like they moved on after 1800 though, by 1861 there's only one Huckle left that was born in Cardington. Paul

No Reeves, no Mortimers, and no Fleets :( As for my Huckles... I can trace the direct line back to pre-1600 all in Cardington. I haven't traced every branch as yet, so it's possible some went to Cambridgeshore

Paul I have a load of rellies from Bucks, mostly Aylesbury, have you any Fleets in your tree? I also have Reeves & Mortimer (swear they were a comedy duo) lol :0) Joan
