If she won't sit down and read your threads print them off and leave them with her. Sarah x

Dav I have to admit my hubby can't understand why I spend half (and sometimes all) my evenings on here. And if it had been my first husband I wouldn't have got past the first thread but that's another story. Debby

Gotta admit her indoors had a problem with these boards untill she read some of the posts , and came to the Pompey meet to see a bloke called Jim with a pink teddybear and his friends :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

maybe if I nudged my thread on nasal hair, it might help? BC

Heather Report 4 Oct 2005 19:37

Dav, get her to sit and read the threads and after she has finished the word congo and the change a letter thread, I think she will get an understanding of the type of thing going on here. To be honest most of us jump on this board when we are sick of rellie seeking and getting nowhere. Its also great for asking opinions on purchases, etc. Jo, this is definitely not cyber sex city.

I was also going to suggest maybe Jo sits and reads some of the threads to help :O)

Jo Just read a few pages of threads and you will soon see that we're all a set of saddos discussing boring, every day things - it's just a bit of fun that's all. Debby

Twinkle Report 4 Oct 2005 19:33

Without being facetious, probably the best way to know what these boards are like is to read them. If she goes to 'Your Threads', then she can see for herself that you haven't been doing anything wrong. If there are any threads in particular that people can think of that might help (has BC gone to any of the meet-ups?), then it is worth giving them a nudge.

Hi Dav, if this really is serious & not one of your wind ups, why not bring up your threads for Jo to see. Especialy the one where you asked about changing to a new man. Vivienne age 61 just in case Jo thinks we are all dolly birds lol

McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 4 Oct 2005 19:22

Sorry Dav Was just trying to get across that we just have a laugh and a joke on here :O) nothing untoward whatsoever!! And yes - most peeps sign off with a few xXx's after their names and generally most people on here have not met the people they talk to ......... Sorry - wasn't meaning to be flippant :O(

And more often than not he does mention Jo (in a nice way) in his threads. Boards are full of light hearted banter, providing support for those that need it, Dave has never (to my knowledge) said he was single although we have given him a few tongue lashings for his views.

Dav

Dav Report 4 Oct 2005 19:18

This is serious ANNE... No jokes please. Joanne believes I am decieving her in some way, I cannot get across that everyone signs thier message of with a x and it does not mean anything.. It looks worse because in my contacts, BC has sent a message with just xxxx. Ironically it was after my listing that asked why women take so long to get over a mood!! BC had suggested I apologise and buy flowers, I returned a message saying Thanks but no thanks. Then she replied xxxx. Jo has for some reason searched the pc and believes she has found a very hidden secret???? So as I said - this is very serious - so no Jokes please.' Dav

Dav These boards are for cyber-genealogists who go wittering on - bantering - blah blah blah about nonsensical drunken twaddle most of the time LOL I have never seen you say you are single etc - why you even declined my invite to be locked up in my cupboard with the rest of the men on here lol........
