OK so I need too many choices to match each mood, but lyrically here's one of the best while we're in romantic mood.... My love she speaks like silence, Without ideals or violence, She doesn't have to say she's faithful, Yet she's true, like ice, like fire. People carry roses, Make promises by the hours, My love she laughs like the flowers, Valentines can't buy her. In the dime stores and bus stations, People talk of situations, Read books, repeat quotations, Draw conclusions on the wall. Some speak of the future, My love she speaks softly, She knows there's no success like failure And that failure's no success at all. The cloak and dagger dangles, Madams light the candles. In ceremonies of the horsemen, Even the pawn must hold a grudge. Statues made of match sticks, Crumble into one another, My love winks, she does not bother, She knows too much to argue or to judge. The bridge at midnight trembles, The country doctor rambles, Bankers' nieces seek perfection, Expecting all the gifts that wise men bring. The wind howls like a hammer, The night blows cold and rainy, My love she's like some raven At my window with a broken wing. |

Galbraith Street - sexy Ron I woke up on Galbraith Street Where the houses stood like twins Oh and even though the door's been closed I can find a way to get back in For in daydreams my mind returns Like a ghost upon the hill As I knock upon old doors again And find my friends all live there still So many good times to speak of in a life But none compared to the good times I had there The world looks so much brighter when You believe in every word Now I'm holding on to all those years Like a tear before it falls unheard So many goodbyes to speak of in a life But none compared to the goodbyes I said there The sun went down on Galbraith Street I saw it from my childhood bed As the red and gold brick houses stood Underneath a crimson sky that bled |

On a more contemporary theme...Faithless - I Want More: Hey friend your misery bewilders me How come you're never satisfied or gratified Four walls n' a roof, electricity Stable mind, wife and child Hot and cold water to run anytime But still you, whine I want more A bum could rummage through ya bin And live like a king On just one crumb o'ya cake N'ya say ya life needs fulfillin Some would give anything to live like you Shame your mind, don't shine Like your possessions do Whining, complaining all the time Don't see no rain on you What side your bread is buttered on If only you knew What d'ya mean I want more Yep I was told as a child I want more never gets Learned to count my blessings Long before I saw an abacus So what ya family don't speak At least they're alive Show me a man without guilt Or a soul that ain't lied You don't know what ya got Open your eyes, look around Really, hear me you Ain't got no reason to be down What d'ya mean I want more Friend what is it that you seek What is it that you try to find Someday I hope you realized It shined in you all the time Hills to climb, sights to see, seas to cross Friends to make, hands to shake, the world is yours Foods to taste, sounds to hear, love to feel Seeds to sew, things to know, fish to reel Space to quiz, stones to lift, life's a gift What d'ya mean I want more Yep What d'ya mean I want more Yep |

speaking with the angel - ronald eldon Sexsmith (yummy) ok last one I dont want to intrude too much He don't know how to lie or undermine you He don't know how to steal, how to deal or deceive So leave him alone, set him free 'Cause he's speaking with the angel Speaking with the angel that only he can see You'd say he's so helpless, but what about you? You don't pull the string, don't you know anything? Leave him alone, let him be 'Cause he's speaking with the angel Speaking with the angel that only he can see Would you teach him 'bout heaven? Would you show him how to love the earth? Would you poison him with prejudice from the moment of his birth? He in the name of love, he in the blood of lamb He that never lays blame, he don't even know his name So leave him alone, set him free 'Cause he's speaking with the angel Speaking with the angel (the very one) that spoke to you and me Oh do you remember? |

More Nick Cave :-) Opium Tea Here I sleep the morning through Until the call to prayer awakes me And there is nothing to do but rise And follow the day wherever it takes me I stand at the window and look at the sea Then I make me a pot of opium tea Down at the port I watch the boats come in Watching boats come in can do something to you And the kids gather round with outstretched hand And I toss them a diram or two And I wonder if my children are thinking of me For I am what I am and what will be will be I wonder if my kids are thinking of me And I smile and I sip my opium tea At night the sea lashes the rust red ramparts And the shapes of hooded men move past me And the mad moaning wind, it laughs and it laughs At the strange lot that fate has cast me And the cats on the rampart sing merrily That I am what I am and what will be will be The cats on the rampart sing merrily And I sit and I drink my opium tea I'm a prisoner here, I can never go home There is nothing here to win or to lose There are no choices needing to be made at all Not even the choice of having to choose I am a prisoner, yes, but I am also free 'Cause I am what I am and what will be will be I'm a prisoner here, yes, but I'm also free And I smile and I sip my opium tea |

In place of you - guess the artist!! lmao In place of a brick wall you made a window In place of a dark hall you painted a mural Where there was only weeds you raised a garden And if I've failed to notice I'm sorry darling If you were gone what would I do? 'Cause no one could ever take the place of you If you should go where would I be? In place of you, an empty space for me In place of wandering blind you put direction In place of squandering my love and affection You built a place for me, where I could store it And I'm eternally grateful for it If you were gone what would I do? 'Cause no one could ever take the place of you If you should go where would I be? In place of you, an empty space for me There is so much from what I've gathered To put in place of these things you think you need In place of emptiness you put fulfillment In place of bitterness you put endearment Where there was only weeds you raised a garden And if I've failed to notice I'm sorry darling If you were gone what would I do? 'Cause no one could ever take the place of you If you should go where would I be? In place of you, an empty space for me |

This Is How It Feels by Inspiral Carpets (Noel Gallagher used to be their roadie, from what I read) Husband don't know what he's done Kids don't know what's wrong with mum She can't say, they can't see Putting it down to another bad day Daddy don't know what he's done Kids don't know what's wrong with mum So this is how it feels to be lonely This is how it feels to be small This is how it feels When your word means nothing at all Black car drives through the town Some guy from the top estate Left a note for a local girl And yet he had it all on a plate So this is how it feels to be lonely This is how it feels to be small This is how it feels When your word means nothing at all Husband don't know what he's done Kids don't know what's wrong with mum She can't say, they can't see Putting it down to another bad day So this is how it feels to be lonely (Feels to be lonely) This is how it feels to be small (Feels to be small) This is how it feels When your word means nothing at all So this is how it feels to be lonely (Feels to be lonely) This is how it feels to be small (Feels to be small) This is how it feels When your word means nothing at all Nothing at all Nothing at all ~~waves to Jan, Rick, Sheila et al~~ |

*thinks Jan & Rick (and Sheila and Andy) have good taste too* *stresses Sheila and Andy, individually... lets not start the gossips off lol REM - Nightswimming Nightswimming deserves a quiet night. The photograph on the dashboard, taken years ago, Turned around backwards so the windshield shows. Every streetlight reveals the picture in reverse. Still, it's so much clearer. I forgot my shirt at the water's edge. The moon is low tonight. Nightswimming deserves a quiet night. I'm not sure all these people understand. It's not like years ago, The fear of getting caught, Of recklessness and water. They cannot see me naked. These things, they go away, Replaced by everyday. Nightswimming, remembering that night. September's coming soon. I'm pining for the moon. And what if there were two Side by side in orbit Around the fairest sun? That bright, tight forever drum Could not describe nightswimming. You, I thought I knew you. You I cannot judge. You, I thought you knew me, this one laughing quietly underneath my breath. Nightswimming. The photograph reflects, Every streetlight a reminder. Nightswimming deserves a quiet night, deserves a quiet night. |

Heres one to make you all go urghhh has that woman got no taste lol Leonard Cohen - Im Your Man If you want a lover I'll do anything you ask me to And if you want another kind of love I'll wear a mask for you If you want a partner Take my hand Or if you want to strike me down in anger Here I stand I'm your man If you want a boxer I will step into the ring for you And if you want a doctor I'll examine every inch of you If you want a driver Climb inside Or if you want to take me for a ride You know you can I'm your man Ah, the moon's too bright The chain's too tight The beast won't go to sleep I've been running through these promises to you That I made and I could not keep Ah but a man never got a woman back Not by begging on his knees Or I'd crawl to you baby And I'd fall at your feet And I'd howl at your beauty Like a dog in heat And I'd claw at your heart And I'd tear at your sheet I'd say please, please I'm your man And if you've got to sleep A moment on the road I will steer for you And if you want to work the street alone I'll disappear for you If you want a father for your child Or only want to walk with me a while Across the sand I'm your man If you want a lover I'll do anything you ask me to And if you want another kind of love I'll wear a mask for you |
