Oh My Gawd Ginny - I'm left-handed, too! So that's my brain and my left hand that are condemned, then. Yes, I agree that some people can be vulnerable to this garbage. The train now standing at Platform 13 is the midnight express to 'Wherever' All those who consider themselves already enlightened individuals with warmth and compassion to their fellows, jump on board. My feelings exactly. Worrying that normal intelligent people buy into these belief systems that are the antithesis of the message of the New Testament.

I thought that when you 'saw the light' it just happened, you didn't have to do a course, get a certificate or of course pay your subscription!

On a serious note, I know several middle-aged people who have subscribed (is that the word) to the Alpha Course, and before David's thread I had already thought that they were trying to 'jump the queue'...........................why do so-called intelligent beings need to resort to this type of course to gain 'enlightenment' (for want of a better phrase)? On a serious note I would be very suspicious of any individual/institution or organization that tried to tell me who I should or should not approve of. Sadly, organizations like these seem to attract people who are 'looking for something' and their weaknesses and insecurities are latched onto. I,m sure that if it was not affiliated to christianity it would be deemed a cult.

This is gonna be so cool lol. Jacquie's got the transport sorted (can we have cheesecake too please), my favourite cousin HRH has got us in where my Gran is (which has got to be nice) and Glenys is definitely on cos she's unacceptable too:)

Oh - and another thing, while I'm on me high horse here. I thought the faith was based on how people treat eachother and other living beings, not what their sexuality is. That's what my parents and grandparents taught my brothers and I. And I'd say that's much, much more important. So there! (I don't know what they'd say about me: being epileptic - though the fits are under control - apparently makes me a child of the devil, according to some churchgoers! That's me bound for Hell, then)

Jacquie & Deanna It's actually quite worrying how judgemental some of these people are and it does worry me how it can disturb 'unacceptable' people and their families. I'm really lucky in that I believe I know better than they do and don't give a flying flap what they think but I have seen people struggle with other peoples opinons of them and it can be devastating. I would like to know that Ginny:) I think I'm right in saying that the Alpha course discourage discussion of the subject now to avoid condemning it. Mind you if Geri Haliwell is gonna be sat on a cloud singing I really don't wana go lol
