Hi Carol, I dont really remember a lot about it!! But I do know that 219 Railton Rd, where we lived is also where my grandad died (death cert!) and that the riots in 1986 were outside of there, and that Brockwell park was a 2 min walk (funny how I remember that park with its lido). Also remember the railway line at the bottom of the garden! Debs x

Bella Donna, Well, it says 'Camberwell' (SE5) on my birth certificate. Peckham SE15 starts at Commercial Way on the North side of Peckham Road and Talfourd Road on the South side. CB >|<

Hi Debs, I live just 5 minutes from all the places you mention Railton Road just at the bottom nr Herne Hill, Kings College and Dulwich Hospital just up the road, I live off Rosendale Road. Carol

Lambeth Hospital as were my first 3 children the last was born in St. Thomas's.

Bella Donna - Only have ever seen it on the tv! but I was a few years before your son!! I have one brother who was born at Dulwich Hospital and the other at home in Railton Road, Lambeth. Then with me being born at Kings College, looks like mum tried to cover as much area as possible! Debs x

I was born at Seaman's Home on Ilkley Moor, Yorkshire (Bah Tat') It was a Convelesant Home for Woman that had problems in Childbirth (My mum had a problem with me lol) It belonged to Bradford's St Lukes Hospital at the time. I looked the place up on the Internet once and it reminds me of one of those Haunted Houses you see in the Movies. Real scary looking. Not very exotic lol Regards Jackie

I must have made a very insignificant entrance to the world, when I was little I used to ask where I was born and no one could remember. According to my Birth Certificate, it says Pinxton, Notts. but it may have been under a gooseberry bush! June xx
