Joan, It's just as well you weren't in the cinema this afternoon with me. We'd gone to see 'Curse of the Were Rabbit', and the auditorium was full of families with young children. Somehow, the cinema managed to mix up the programmes, and instead of trailers for the Narnia and Harry Potter films, we were shown some for a film about strippers at the Windmill Theatre in London and a couple of other 'Adult' films. When the main feature began, that too opened with a seduction scene totally unsuitable for that audience, so lots of people went to complain. The cinema manager was full of apologies and offered those who wanted to see the Wallace & Gromit film a special showing in 30 minutes' time. Refunds were available for those who couldn't stay, but everyone was given a complimentary ticket to a future film of their choice, so we get to see Harry Potter free! I don't think I'd have been too pleased to have been sat watching those trailers when my son was small, but hardly anybody seems to give any thought to things like that these days. Perhaps I'm just getting old and prudish. CB >|<
