Happy New Year everyone. And me! I'm a Geordie, but I don't think I've ever been to Middlesborough! I certainly don't know it. I can't stay overnight, so would I be better coming by car - can I park ?(could pick up Mommylonglegs, and Ann Lazenby at D'ton station - I know where that is). Or would I be better coming by train (Metro to Sunderland, or GNER to Darlington) Anne

OYY you lot!!!! Jenny I will not be dragged anywhere.------ but will come if you dangle a gin and tonic in front of me------you know that!! AND the transporter is still there and it looks lovely at night all lit up----know you were joking. Babs I would think Jenny and i will be on the train at Darlington--cos I'll be getting on it there and she'll be on it ---unless she misses it cos she's gone for a w--, so we could meet the ones coming from foreign part's at a time to suit everyone!! Pick a good pub Babs

Mommylonglegs Report 7 Jan 2006 01:23

Babs, going back a few years now. Can you remember the chap that built a boat in his back garden? He had to hire a crane to get it over his house roof. Was in a few local papers. Well thats my Mums Cousin. I spent many a childhood holiday with Mums Aunty and Uncle. Transporter Bridge, Haverton Hill, ICI Factory, Redcar, Seaton Carew, Saltburn to name but a few places. Oh what great childhood memories. Always said then, I wanted to marry a Geordie, but didnt know the difference in accents then. Here's me with a broad Midlands accent. Cannot wait for the meet up. Jenny x
