Paul that is wonderful news, my hubby also has a daughter that he was seperated from when she was a baby, the details of that are personal so I won't go into it, and like you he now has contact with her, she has since moved nearly 200 miles to be near her dad, we have contact with her mom and step dad, things really have worked out well for all concerned, so I hope your story has such a happy ending as my hubbies. Paul, that's brilliant news. I can feel your happiness and excitement from here. I am really pleased for you both. Something similar happened in our family. My cousin (also called Paul) had no idea he had a son, as his girlfriend never told him when they split that she was pregnant. I remember the feeling when we found out about our Josh. It's wonderful to have a new family member. Wishing you both all the very best for your future together. Dianne xx

Thanks everyone, i'm on cloud 9 at the moment,... I know it's still going to cause some upset, but to the people that really matter it's brilliant...the others will have to learn to live with it. Paul

.I've just met him for the first time...After 16 years..His name is Ben and he's 17 in April..it's a long story and one I won't bore you all with, but I've kept this a secret from all but my most trusted friends , because to reveal it in the past would've upset a lot of peoples lives, including my own and his... I'm now in touch with him and we're slowly and steadily coming into one anothers lives..........................................Has anyone else had to keep a secret like this, wanting to tell everyone, but knowing what upset it may cause if you do?................................................................................................................................ NEW UPDATE:Morning everybody, sorry to keep you in suspenders,i had a bit of a lie in this morning....... Well, it all went really well.. The girls really took it all in thier stride..They sat and listened to the story and they were really excited by it all...then poor Ben got mobbed and bombarded with questions, poor kid............ We didn't get to have a lot of time together yesterday, because the girls needed to be elsewhere but I'm hoping to have them stay with me for a couple of days next weekend and we'll all get together then............ thanks again for all your support.. Love Paul
