Em, I think not. I was maligned by a Yorkshireman not long ago, and when I complained, his brother told me that 'when he's had a few, he gets a right gob on him', so obviously the expression is more widespread. I can also remember being told in Primary School during the Dark Ages to 'Shut yer gob!'. Common lot, they was, dahn in Sarf London. >*|*<
