Hey Jean, my faiths a bit like that. Many have a bit of a problem with it, thats why i keep it for myself nowadays! I think they have a problem with whats its thought to have represented in the past, and the fact that my actual beliefs are a bit random and 'made up' as some might say! lol

Well, when I go, I promise I'll come back and tell everybody what it's all about - if I'm allowed! >*|*<

Have 'googled' Angels and one of the first sites is 'The Catholic Church, Saints and Angels' . Pages of info about Angels. After all the debate re Christianity and Spiritualism, surely Angels are Spiritual beings?? Jay

Roxanne Report 27 Nov 2005 17:41

Mandy, thats true, what a shock!!lol but there again we wouldent know anything about it would we!!

Janice

Janice Report 27 Nov 2005 17:40

Whoa Roxanne, I meant nothing of the sort. I was actually responding to Paul, and posing the question what does it actually mean to believe in Jesus Christ? Believing in Jesus Christ on it's own doesn't make you a Christian. As we would all agree probably, Satan believes in Jesus Christ too otherwise he wouldn't have tried to tempt him to change sides. But acknowledging the existence of Christ is not the same thing. Janice

Roxanne Report 27 Nov 2005 17:35

Janice, I take it you think Im a Devil!!lol well my dear to some maybe, but I know who I am and god knows who I am and Im happy with my beliefs, I really feel sorry for people that can not accept others beliefs, I think you should look into your soul, my dear.

Paul

Paul Report 27 Nov 2005 17:34

I just thought of somehting; Satanists believe in JC too right?

Janice

Janice Report 27 Nov 2005 17:32

Satan bellieves in Jesus Christ too!

Paul

Paul Report 27 Nov 2005 17:31

Roxanne, thats awful. That priest needed a poke in the eye! As you said, you believe in JC, and Spiritualism, so that makes you what? A Crossbreed? No! In my book you're a Christian

Roxanne

Roxanne Report 27 Nov 2005 17:27

I actually believe in spiriualism, I also believe in Jesus Christ', but the reason I stopped going to church was that a priest told me that 'you can not be a christian and believe in spiritulism and reincarnation' so I dident go again, what I found so very amusing was that 3/4 of the church population werent 'Christians' anyway, they just though by going to church they were, I can do without that 'Hypocracy' thank you.

Vivienne I agree with what you have said. I'm a C of E christian but I respect others beliefs and don't neccessarily think that my religion is the only way - well Jesus wasn't Church of England was he? :) I'm also off to see the psychic Mia Dolan in 2 hours:))

Janice

Janice Report 27 Nov 2005 17:25

Mandy, If you want to know what God is like, don't look at other people. Everyone fails to live up to even their own standards, let alone God's. The ultimate example is Christ himself: Hebrews 1:2 The Son is the radiance of God's glory, and the exact representation of his being. Janice

Jay - I had to read that twice then, really dumb lol! I thought to myself, 'I wrote no letter!'

Roxanne

Roxanne Report 27 Nov 2005 17:21

Vivian, i dont think the bible is any different to 'protestants' than it is to 'catholics' I was brought up an 'anglican catholic' which to some is protestant but its nothing like the protestants, I could happily go into a 'roman catholic' church and know the mass. Protestants are methodists, baptists, weslayans e.t.c there is only one Bible, its how you interpret it, even the jewish faith has the 'old testament' they dont have the' new'.

Jane

Jane Report 27 Nov 2005 17:20

I have just looked the Concordance in my old King James' Bible. Pauls' 1st letter to the Corinthiams, verses 9 and 10 gives list of Gifts from the Spirit. Verse 10. to another the working of miracles. to another prophecy to another 'The Discerning Of Spirits' to another divers kinds of Tongues to another interpretation of tongues Jay

Wendy as I said in answer to your pm, you haven't offended me at all. When it comes to my beliefs I am so sure, that I don't feel threatened by any other. What I don't like are Christians who deny others their beliefs & Muslims too for that matter. As a Spiritualist I don't feel the need to put down any other system of belief. We are all diferent & have to find our own path. Having been a Christian I feel that gave me a good grounding but the church is too restrictive & the seven principles I now live by mean so much more to me. Vivienne

Paul

Paul Report 27 Nov 2005 17:17

EXACTLY Janice, if one faith can get away with being called Christians for not believing in Jesus, why can't another one be known as Christians for believing in Spiritualism?
