I don't know. People being irritating irritates me lol :-) What annoys my dad is people stopping in a busy supermarket and having a conversation whilst blocking the aisle.

personally, I refer to it as 'the lion the witch and the wardrobe' :o) Haven't been to see it yet :o( We went to see a film while we were in NY, but we'd just missed it, so we saw 'Memoirs of a Geisha' instead. Then on Christmas Eve we decided to go and see it - when we got there, we'd missed the start by 15 mins, so went to see King Kong instead !

Scraping the barrel for irritations now Paul! lol It's called The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. Are we to type the whole title? Alternatives then? Daisy

A minor one. (and apologies to anyone who's done this on the board, it's not a dig, but it does irritate me lol) The general populace (and, to a certain extent, the filmmakers) referring to the new 'The Lion the witch and the Wardrobe' film as NARNIA. what are they going to call the next film - Narnia 2 ?

people who do not speak when i greet them when it is their turn to be served. people who start to txt or talk whilst they are being served (no i will not pack your bags whilst you are on your phone) people who do not say ANYTHING from start to finish when i serve them. people who tut, mumble, look at their watch whilst i have a nice person who does realize that i am a human being trying to be helpful and pleasant whilst serving, because i am talking does not mean that i am going any slower than if i was not talking. people who let doors go as you walk through people who do not say thankyou when hold doors open for them. people who reprimand you for being rude when they have not heard your answer cause they were not listening.(it can be very noisy at work with background music and tannoy announcements). they just asume that you have not said please or thankyou. i would never pull anyone up just for that, to me i would be just as rude as them (or i have not heard them!) queue jumpers. people who tell you to smile, it is not very often i dont (whether i want to or not) but now and again i am not well or something has happoened at home and i am worried, then i dont feel like smiling. i am allowed not to now and again. last one - ME, after reading back that lot. it is a wonder i have any one who likes me. lol tina x

Susan - absolutely ! My sister is the same - I get the odd phone call now and then (fair enough, I don't often ring her), and she always says... 'you never come to see us'. I think she's been to see us once in the last 2 years...

Because it's relevant at the moment - people who phone up, complain that they haven't heard from me for awhile and then ask me when am I coming over for a visit. Apparently the distance from their house to mine is further than my house to theirs. I hate one way friendships but don't seem to be able to do more than make excuses as to why I haven't been over to visit recently (and, yes, I'm feeling really peeved at the moment!!!). Susan

'Happy Genes Error' cropping up when I'm checking through pages of not-so-Hot Matches. 'This page cannot be displayed' cropping up with monotonous frequency on websites.

LOL Zoe, did they get the hint? Mine for today would be clients that ring up and say they have spoken to their purchaser/seller who says their Solicitor hasn't heard anything at all from us when in fact they have had a contract we have answered enquiries and they have acknowledged them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! people who stand at my desk to read the office newspapers. The rule is that you bring them back - it in no way prevents you from taking them away - I quite like being able to get to my phone when its ringing, or my notebook when I have to write down info, or, as earlier, MY CHARIR when you're sitting in it And I know that half the time none of you are actually reading the papers but just being nosey - so YES - I do know that you in particular are reading this as I type. perhaps you'll take a hint now.

revisiting one of yesterdays that is REALLY winding me up now certain members of staff who seem to need me to spoon feed them, when they're more experienced than I am, have a perfectly good brain, and should be able to work things out for themselves.

Zoe Report 30 Nov 2005 15:10

irritation of today (well actually - last night) friends who try and set me up with someone purely cos the first time we met we chatted for quite a bit and they think he fancies me I DON'T know if I like him. perhaps if you stopped smirking every time we met and nudging each other if we happen to exchange words I might not avoid any contact with him whatsoever and actually find out if I do like him.

and todays irritations (so far) 1. People who say 'oh yes, I'll do that urgent bit of work' and then 2 days after they were supposed to start say 'I'm sorry I don't have time to do it' (so why take it on in the first place, when someone else offered ?) 2. that every bit of work I'm asked to arrange is 'urgent' 3. not being able to park at the bank at lunchtime, because traffic is manic.. I only want some coin bags !!!! can't they bring them out to me ?? 4. That my tight ass company still won't sponsor me

My Dad telling me I'm just Big Boned....when quite clearly I'm FAT! Teachers who think they know your kids better than you do. People who put an R sound on the end of words like draw, saw or law Anyone calling me Hen, Babe or M'Dear Men leaving their shavings in the sink! Yuck. Hypochondriacs Bullies Mobile phones The feeling of sheets against my toenails when they've just been cut....sets my teeth on edge. Being told to be patient, 'cause I'm really very impatient! Being a 'lightweight' in the alcohol sense, I seem to get drunk before everyone else does. Holding open doors for people , who walk straight through without a Thank You! English football commentators who ALWAYS seem to mention 1966! (Jimmy Hill was the worst offender) Anyone calling Scottish people Scotch....that's a whisky...we're Scots! Think that should do for now. Christine
