Hi Gwynne, Yes it does seem more poignant. I am afraid I do not feel too happy over Christmas time and will be glad when it is over and done with. I wish I didn't feel like this but due to circumstances I am not able to conjure up much Christmas spirit. Morning Arthur may I share your kippers a good Kipper may lift my spirits. Love Beryl x |

Good Morning Everyone, Postie Paul has a lot on his plate (no pun intended) and has left GR. He sends his best wishes for a Happy Christmas to everyone. Chris and I find it 'too much' for just the two of us to be on duty every Sunday so, reluctantly, have decided to close the cafe. We started it up again after someone put up a thread asking what had happened to Paul and the cafe and a lot of people added saying they missed it, so we thought we'd give it a go. When Paul returned we happily handed over the keys as we were finding it a bit much on our own and now that he has left we think it has probably run its course. We thought we'd still have a Sunday thread on a self-service basis as we like to say Hello to people , especially the early risers. Gwynne |
