To Margaret K. Don't think Do it, think of all the Tax you will not paying the goverment, also if you have children then they copy parents, if you smoke, then they will. do not forget about passive smoking. James

Yes James, or even typing just the word 'Nudge' will do it.....and OUR EM...well done!!!! You will see how many people on this thread have persevered and done it, and if someone falls by the wayside, well they can start again:-) Do the Silk Quit thingy and you can track how much you are saving etc. XXX BC

Hi Ladies, Don't forget Gray is trying tomorrow again to give up, which is difficult according to her previous messages, her OH is not. Good luck Gray and keep trying. Maybe instead just of counting days, count how much you have saved as well. James

HI guys, hope you are all good. It was really odd last week, I had a day where i had a few really big cravings, first time for ages! Anyway I was a good girl, so my meter now says Three months, two weeks, 4 hours, 16 minutes and 37 seconds. 2654 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,194.50. Life saved: 1 week, 2 days, 5 hours, 10 minutes.

Hi Ladies, you are doing so well, I was a 40 a day man for about 40 years and I decided to quit, Nine and a half years now. the hardest part was buying the first set of patches because that was the cost of a weeks supply of cigs. I used the 24 hour patch as I found the 16 hour one was not so good, when I was tempted, I image a ash tray full of burnt Five Pound Notes! I also found that you must get rid of any ciggarettes or the temptation is there and a lot of smoking is habit, your hand goes to the cig packet without you knowing it. The money I have saved goes on Holidays and helps to pay my mortgatge, So keep hanging in there. If I can do it so can you James
